Gotta wait for unemployment fed bump to run out next month for that. People should be scrambling for jobs next few weeks.I hope it means further capacity increase and more things opening up quickly.
many people here, in F.> have switched to jobs where they either work from home, or work in places that require vaccines, or have become self employed. I read an article in Orlando paper that interviewed many people, took a monkey survey and came to this conclusion. WE have a lot of latino immigrants here, not afraid of hard work, but they are afraid of getting sick, all that have worked for us ( new house), have been vaccinated. In fact the only two out of maybe 12 that haven't been were older white males in trades. I found this interesting and will watch and see how this pans out.Gotta wait for unemployment fed bump to run out next month for that. People should be scrambling for jobs next few weeks.
I don’t believe masks are required on the boats after the new rules take affect.I don't think there are specific DVC related policies around face masks. DVC resorts simply follow the broader WDW resort rules.
What these changes mean, both for the WDW DVC Resorts, and the broader WDW Parks and Resorts in general, is that: If you are aboard any WDW transportation (boats, monorail, skyliner, bus, etc. etc.) then you MUST wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. If you're vaccinated, you can wear a face mask if you wish, but you are free to not wear a face mask anywhere else. If you aren't vaccinated, then facemasks are required everywhere (indoors and outdoors) except if you are actively eating/drinking while stationary.
Simply: If you are vaccinated, then you must wear a face mask on transportation, otherwise you are free to wear or not wear a mask that fits your desired level of comfort. If you aren't vaccinated, then the old face mask rules apply from before they started removing the requirements.
I also think that any 3rd party establishments at WDW (think swan/dolphin, shops at Disney Springs, etc.) are free to be more strict if they wish...so YMMV.
The arcades are opening back up. I think that is important for DVC because it shows WDW risk assessment has come way down. There’s not much left stopping them from getting operations fully functioning again outside of logistics.
