This is one reason why so many people take afternoon breaks during summer trips. That is the only way to really get cleaned up for dinner.
Same here. I will try to get to my ressie early and spend time catching my breath and doing a quick sponge-off in the nearest bathroom. I don't wear any makeup at Disney because I do sweat so much it is a waste. However, I don't do signature dining either, for me it is usually just Cape May or Captain's Grille on my DHS day. Neither of those is too fancy. We just go eat. Figuring most of the rest of the guests have been in the parks right along side of us. If it works to freshen up before hand, we do. If it doesn't, we don't. Never stopped us from going though.
THIS!!!!even if I showered, I'd be hot and sweaty by the time I reached my dinner destination anyways.
Most of my sweating is my face and head so it doesn't really matter. Nothing I wear helps with that! But I have also started wearing the moisture-wicking runners tank tops, etc. in the parks. It makes such a huge difference without your clothes sticking to you. I tried to wear a normal t-shirt one day and I made it to the food court for a drink refill and went straight back and changed. It felt like my skin was on fire compared to the moisture-wicking tops!Something else occurred to me, I'm pretty selective about the clothing I pick for Disney, at least in the summer.
I wear only wicking type clothing. So our clothes are not all sweaty and icky. They actually hold up quite well to the temps. I wear only Sparkle Skirts to the park, paired with running tanks
And never anything white, or pastel. So that cuts down on them looking dingy/grimy.
If DGD does have on something that gets trashed for some reason, I am not above buying something to prevent her from looking like a ragamuffin. But I also try to put her in clothes that can stand up to the day. And she had long hair that we keep in a pony at the parks. Typically that means it remains presentable.
Do the deluxe resorts still have washcloths to dry your hands in the signature restaurant area restrooms?
