What Does Disney's response to ROFR look like?

Isn't the estoppel letter the official notice? Everyone should get a copy of that at closing.

When Disney Vacation Development chooses not to exercise ROFR, it completes a "Waiver of Right of First Refusal." This document is filed and recorded with the Orange County Comptroller and usually appears on the OCC website after closing.

mwwagner knowing your situation, I'd ask seller for recorded document # for Waiver of Right of First Refusal so you can pull it up on the comptroller's website by document number, and verify the contract # and names line up. Good luck!

Ah, that explains why I couldn't see my recent one (haven't closed yet). Now I know why.

That waiver of ROFR notice is a document provided as part of the closing which occurs a while after DVD has informed the seller or the seller's broker of its decision on ROFR . As to the initial notice providing DVD's decision that DVD is or is not exercising ROFR, DVD does not actually provide anything directly to the buyer with whom it has no agreement to provide anything but communicates only with the seller or the seller's broker.

Just to clarify, you can get a copy (or at least I did) of the ROFR waiver from the Orange County Comptrollers site. Follow the links to eventually search for and find the recording of your sale. You can download the warranty deed and ROFR waiver.

Now, who can tell me what the estoppel is and how do I get a copy of it? For a while I thought it was the ROFR waiver based on a Wikipedia definition of estoppel.
