What does BUMP mean?

I've been here a short while, and I can usually figure out most of the abbreviations, but this one is stumping me.

It's means you "Bump" a message back up to the top of the page.

Well, first of all, welcome to the DIS. You'll enjoy it here.

A bump is a simple way of bringing a thread back to the top of the front page of the forum. Sometmes a thread is a real good one, or maybe not answered well, and a poster, sometimes the original poster, will post on it, with the only intention of making it go back to the top again for some more views or to see if an answer might be given on a question. Some people will just type 'bump', some maybe just a , I like to post this one sometimes

And here is an abbreviation list. I would bookmark it (I have) as I don't really know how to get there using the menus here. Hope it helps, bibbidiboo.
