What Does Airfare Run (LAX to MCO) in December?

We're flying LAX to MCO for the first time this Christmas and don't have any idea what a "good" price for flights is. Looking for a point of reference.

Not really sure. I'd get signed up with the frequent flyer programs for Virgin America, Alaska, and Southwest so you start getting their emails. Maybe with the normal airlines, too, like United and Delta.

Round trip fares coast to coast these days are running around $400. Just checking for a random week in December, the average fare LAX-MCO is $432.00. That's about what I would expect to pay.

For Christmas travel, I would expect to pay more. For a flight leaving the Wednesday before Christmas and returning the Wednesday after, the current best price is about $543. -- Suzanne

About $400 r/t is what I'm seeing too. We're watching fares for our trip in early December.

Airfares around Christmas are likely to be rough. Don't wait too long.

Also make sure to check the other airports in the area, Burbank, Long Beach, Ontario, and Santa Ana. Sometimes you can find cheaper rates at the other locations.

Again, like others have mentioned it will be pricey the closer you get to Christmas.
