What does a parade FP get you?

I understand that a FP to a show will get you earlier entry or better seating, depending upon the show. But what about a FP for a parade? Or Wishes? What does that get you? Worth it with 6 small kids?

A FP for a parade gets you a front row reserved seat in front of the castle. I would say it would be great with 6 small children. They will have a great view and you will not be crowded.

It does not get you a seat! There is a roped off area, behind the Walt and Micky statue, that is used for parade FP+ holders. You have to get there about 30 mins prior to the start...then you can snag a spot right up at the curb. It is out in the sun, so bring something to shade yourself with. Kids could sit on the pavement, at the curb..the same as anywhere else.

Fp for shows don't get you better seating or, in most cases, early entry. It just guarantees you get a seat.
Like previous poster said the parade fp gets you a spot in front of the castle so you don't have to wait that long. It is completely in the sun though so plan to bring an umbrella for shade

If I get a FP+ for the 9pm parade, can I keep my spot for the fireworks?

There are no seats (except on the ground) and the only thing reserved is an area. But you will be in the area with far fewer people, you will not be crowded, and your kids will be able to see.

We did the Fast Pass Plus for the Festival of Fantasy parade and we personally will never do it again, at least not in the summer. We got there 30 minutes early and it was so hot, it was directly in the sun and we baked for those 30 minutes. On the plus side we did have a great view of the parade. I would have preferred to find a shady spot on a curb and wait a little longer.

I just added 'umbrella' to the pack list. That is a great idea while waiting for the parade.
