If I need more points than the seller I'm working with is offering? Can I somehow combine points from 2 sellers?

Thanks in advance!

we were told to do a conference call with reservation people and with the owners of all the different point groups to make it work. have fun

Hi Shelli,

Yes, you can rent points from more than one owner for one stay but, why would you want to? Working with JUST ONE owner in nailing down all the details of a rental is time consuming enough.

There are several owners advertising large point rentals so I don't see any reason you would complicate things by renting from more than one member. I suspect that any rental of 1000 points or less can easily be managed by only one owner.

Good luck and have a great vacation.

Thanks for your help and your thoughts. I am working with a seller who is selling at a really great price (my impression is that this seller doesn't frequent this forum), as the points are expiring, but depending on weekday vs weekend availability I may need a few (as many as 60, if I have to use a weekend to get the room/resort I need) more than the seller has offered. SO I guess it comes down to whether I want to pay less and have the hassle of pinning down points from a second seller.

Anyone else want to chime in with an experience or idea?! Thanks so much for helping out!

Depending on your level of trust you have with the seller, why don't you give him the money to buy the additional points so he will have enough to sell you.

It may be a little risky, but feel out the seller to see if he could do that for you.

goodluck

Have the first seller reserve as many nights as possible with the number of points he/she has for sale. He/She will only be able to reserve whole nights. Find someone else to reserve the remaining nights. Get confirmation numbers from both reservations and then ask one (or maybe both) owners to call MS and get the two reservations linked so that you do not have to change rooms.

Best wishes -
