Hi I think TOO MANY rest days! Are you planning on getting Annual Passes?? If so you could just go to dinner or a show in one of the parks and that would be it for the day! Also remember it will be HOT and CROWDED so a few hours in the park and then back to the hotel pool or hotel room for a nap is always good! We usually go in the summer and love the extended hours and warm nights. There are also other things to do such as Disney Quest, Downtown Disney, the Marketplace, the Boardwalk Area, visiting the DELUXE hotels for dinner, lunch or shopping. We have gone for two weeks in past summers and gone into at least one park each day,Epcot is great just to walk around in at night, snack and watch Illuminations.I am sure on the DIS you can find plenty to do with 3 weeks to spend at WDW! Joan

thanks joans, sorry should have said, but yes i am planning dinners in some of the hotels in the evenings, have the HDDR and the Laua booked and am in the process of picking out the restaurants we would like to eat at.
We are planning probably 14 day passes with park hopper option as we can get these in the UK, was considering the 7 day one but if we want to go to a park for a character meal we would either have to councide it with our visit to the park or use a day for it so will be the 14 day option, will be booking a few character meal options on our rest days so probably not counted as rest days ,but will not be out walking around the parks in the heat.

I agree, too many days rest. I would do hlaf a day in the park and half a day of rest. Or Morning in the park, afternoon at the pool and evening in the park. Basicly, a little of both each day. You could do an early character breakfast, hang at that park for a few hours, go rest, and the go back to the same park or visit a different one for the afternoon/evening. Or do the reverse-park in the morning, rest, and a character dinner in the evening.

The combinations of possibilities are endless.

Agreed. Too many rest days. It always seems better to mix parks and resting in one day. Half and half type of thing. Definately do the park HOPPER passes. I think you would be disappointed if you didn't. Have you thought about adding water parks and disney quest to your tickets? Those would be great things to do along with downtown disney and boardwalk.

half and half ,never thought about that, and we wouldnt be spending the whole day in the park which apparently can be very tiring in the heat,
the tickets they sell here in the UK in clude the water parks as well so would only need disney quest , what exactly is disney quest as i have not read anything about it.
BTW thanks for the advice everyone

The tickets here that include the water parks also include disney quest, so you might want to double check on that just in case.

Disney Quest is a huge arcade. It has your typical arcade games and other fun things. There are virtual reality type activities. Build your own roller coaster and ride it. Make music and record it. Those type of things.

Not recommended if you have toddlers. I have an 8 and 14 year old. Both boys. They love it. We don't do arcades, so this is a treat for them. There are height restrictions for some of the activities.

Let me know if you want to know more info on this.

thanks for that magical disney, i have a DD 10, guess she would really enjoy this as like yourself we don`t do arcades, we live in a seaside town here in Northern Ireland and they have age restrictions on young people using them but i prefer my child not to waste her money on them, thanks for the info
