We're going down in June and will be at the world for my daughter's 4th birthday. I was looking at Disney Direct at the personalized shirts and saw one that reads "Birthday Princess". She's a major princess nut (we're having a birthday breakfast at the Princess Storybook Breakfast). I thought she'd love the shirt and toyed with putting her name and "I'm 4!" on it. But then I got to thinking about all the 'bad stuff' about kids and ages and names on shirts that I started to think twice.

What do you guys think? I know when we get home she'll likely wear it again. I also thought about just leaving it "plain" to read birthday princess.

Ashley princess:

I ordered shirts from that site, and they are very nice.

How about something like this

"I spent my birthday at Walt Disney World"

The quality of the shirts is very good. We ordered matching shirts for our upcoming trip. Ours have a group of characters and say "Our feet hurt! We must be at Walt Disney World" 4 is a magical time for a child to be at WDW.

I think it would be cute, but if she's like my daughter she will enjoy wearing a princess dress at the park until she gets too hot, anyway. Little girls dressed like princesses really get a lot of attention, especially if they have that birthday pin on that they give out at the parks. I couldn't believe how much attention my little girl got on her birthday! It was truly magical! I got tears in my eyes on several occasions, but especially when Dopey danced with her in the middle of the street for, oh probably 10 minutes! A princess song was playing and she felt so special! Everyone was watching and strangers came up to me telling me how special an experience it was. It was like one of those commercials! All the CMs and characters were bowing and telling her happy birthday all day, she got in a show, etc. princess:

Anyway, to really answer your question, , I would probably let my daughter wear the birthday princess t without any personalization on it. For me, I would just end up worrying about her too much, especially in a place with so many people around. Although, it would be really cute! Just consider your own comfort level, I guess. If you would be overly worried all day, don't do it.

Just be sure to get that Birthday button for her! You'll be amazed at how magical her day will be! princess:

I would have the same safety concerns. You can do the shirt and put on the "I'm 4 today!", but leave off her name and birthdate. Have a birthday button and they'll know that "today" is the date, and not an old t-shirt.

Out of curiousity though, who buys Mickey years and puts their child's name on those? It that doesn't bother you, that might be the way to "personalize" her day.
