Hi everyone!

we are staying at CBR july 28th-Aug.5th. This will be our first time staying inside as a family and our first time at CBR. It looks really nice on the internet. Anyone stayed and liked it? Any preference on villages? Also we are traveling with friends of ours. We both have 1 and 5 yr. olds. We have booked Kids Nite Out one night for 5 hours so we can go out and do "adult" things. We are a little nervous. Does anyone have any feedback about this program? We have booked HoopDeeDoo. Been 4 times! Love it! We also booked the Laui at the Poly. Never did this. Is it worth it?

I have stayed at CBR and if it the first time you are staying onsite...it whould be very nice.

It is a HUGE resort though..so I would try to stay as close as possible to the food and pool. Stay away from Trinidad's..they are the farthest. If you dont have the Unoffical Guide..Iwould try to get it from the library. It is sooo good about rooms and the such.

I can't help you with the rest, I have never used KNO or Hoop Dee Doo..but it sounds like a great time! Enjoy!

Thanks for your input. We are so excited! We stayed at PO on our honeymoon in 1997 but have'nt stayed onsite since. Our kids will have a lot of fun. I've heard that Jamaica is close to everything.

We stayed at CBR last year with 2 ( 2 year olds). It was so nice. We really liked it...

However...

Request a room as close to the food court and kiddie pool as possible. I don't remember which village that is. We stayed in Martinique and that was supposed to be a close one but we were on the far side of Martinique and although it wasn't a real, real far walk...taking two kids, two strollers, life jackets, floaties, pool toys, towels, etc. to the pool was ridiculous...ha!!

My personal opinion...I would not pay for a water view room. It was nice but we couldn't see out the window anyhow, because the humidity was so high that they stayed fogged all the time and we weren't in the room that much to enjoy it.

At any rate...we loved the resort...we won't be staying there again for awhile as we are trying to experience different resorts.

We are also going to the Luau...I went there back in 1996 and really enjoyed it. My girls are crazy over Lilo and Stitch and the Hula Dancing at the beginning of the movie so I'm sure they will like it.

A few suggestions that we did last year that the girls loved...Chef Mickey's (great interaction and we loved the food). Crystal Palace (all of Pooh characters, the dinner was alright we're trying breakfast this year) and the Princess Storybook Breakfast (Norway) if you have little ones that love the Princesses. We didn't even try for Cindy's breakfast. All the princesses were there except Cinderella and Ariel (guess it's hard to justify a Mermaid walking around..ha!!) These were all buffets or all you can eat meals so I thought I was getting enough for everyone to eat so the cost wasn't so bad.

This year we are doing all of the above and including Ohana (I heard it was fantastic and had good interaction with the children during dinner)

Have fun!!!

Thanks for all your info. I will call today and request a room close to the food court and kiddie pool. We did request a water view room but we got the 5 night/2 free deal for eight nights so we don't mind paying for water view. Hopefully we can see water! We are also going to Chrystal Palace for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for my DD 5th B-day and Hoopdeedoo that night. They said I can call 48 hours ahead for them to bring a cake to the table and sing. Does anyone know what E-night is? I keep noticing people doing KNO and going to E-night? Never heard of it.

Thank You!

Martinique is the place to be. Its the closest to the main building. I don't know if they still run the buses the same, but it used to be the first place the bus came in the morning. If the bus filled up, it turned around and left so everyone waiting at the other buildings had to keep on waiting.
