What do you think you will name your [future] kids?

I have a humongous list, I just can't remember them all right now.

Off the top of my head, my favorites are ;

Girl - Madison, Lilly or Emma.
Boy - Brady, Aedan, or maybe Mason.

I think the story behind the name Echo isn't so, umm, nice.
I love Greek Mythology and I have a book of names from Greek Mythology and I read the story about her and it's not so happy.

Yeah, there's lots of great names in this book ^-^
But then some sound kinda obscure in English D:
I mean, Echo would be a fine name if it wasn't for English people borrowing it and putting it in our language xD
I like the name Bacche from this book, it means shouting for joy, but then the pronounciation would be screwy: BA-CHEY, or something like that...

Anyways I most definitely won't be naming after Twilight of all things, but I haven't totally decided.
I think I'll take names derived from old myths and stuff... I like the really cool long names on baby sites. Hmm.. maybe I should go find some so I can add to this thread xD

I know i've always loved the names Emmett, Jacob and Bella(not Isabella just Bella!) ever since i was 6 i always my dolls those 3 names and sometimes alice(i love alice in wonderland!) but I was watching MTV and 4 pregant chicks named there sons Edward, there were 2 Emmetts, a Jasper and 8 Reneesme's, now i love twilight and the names but seriously its going to be overdone but then and there kids are going to hate them for naming them after characters in a Series, no matter how big that series was/is. If my mom had named me like, i dont know, Amanda, the character from her favorite book, and i knew that was the reason, i would be like " Wow mom thanks way to be original and creative, that doesnt help me stick out at all!" then again i love my name, Grace, and i'm the only one in my school with it, now it is a small school and small town, i think 5,000 people, and i'm one of 3 Grace's i feel special. But i would feel specialer if i was the only one, like my BFF Christiana

Yea I know.I love the name Rose/Rosalie but in English we were studying Edgar Allen Poe and we learn about his family, they all died : ( but anyway, his sisters name was Rosalie and she went insane so that freaked me out and we learned about this other Rosalie with a tradject(spelling?) life and I was like "is it a pattern/curse or something"

i love the name Atticus, from To Kill A Mockingbird

It will still be pecuilar all the Twilight names. Who knows, though, maybe the obsession will die down eventually. Or people will realize that naming kids solely because you're obsessed with the series isn't very creative, like you said.

Toby's a girls name now? Haha. I used to know a girl named Micheal. Yeah, Micheal. Pronounced normally and everything. I felt bad for her.

I think it's good to have an orginal name, but not one so out there that the kid gets made fun of.

And yeah, me and my friends were having a conversation today about how many kids in the next generation will be named after Twilight characters. I don't necassarily see anything wrong with it, they're just names.
