What do you think of my plans

I'm heading down 2nd week of November with my grandkids. Easywdw is predicting 4 to 5 most days. There will be a 7mo, 4 yr, 8yr, and the parents. The kids don't do well if tired or in heavy crowds.

Staying at BLT, so we can walk to MK each morning for rope drop, no FP. Stay until 10:30 or so and go back to hotel for downtime, which could be reading, naps, or relaxing by the pool. In the afternoon, we go to whichever park is recommended by easywdw and use Our prebooked FP. Stay for dinner in the park, then go back to hotel. If they're still going strong, head up to Top of the world to watch the fireworks.

Does this sound like a good way to keep it relaxed and avoid the heaviest crowds?

Sounds pretty great in general, but I'd probably stay a bit later than 10:30, maybe noon- 1 before retiring for break. Unless nap times or lunch times dictate that early.

Sounds like nap time may be having a bearing on your plans. Are you only planning on MK days? A little more detail in your plans would help us evaluate. If the 4 year old still has a morning nap or rest time, that might be an issue. The baby could nap in a stroller in the AM.

With the information you provided, doing Rope Drop followed by about 3 hours of touring would be good (the 8 year old will protest). Head back to the resort for the activities mentioned then head back to the park or other park (don't know if you have hoppers) for activities when it is cooler, slowing down crowdwise etc. until bedtime. Make sure you see the fireworks at least once.

Thanks for the replies.

We would have hoppers, so in the evening we would be going to other parks. The 4yo still does naps now, but may not in November. We went with our other grandkids in December, 5yo and 7 yo. We did not have hoppers, so we stayed in one park per day. Seems like about lunch time they started to slow down, and by dinner they were done, so we did not do much in the evenings.

Try to remember that what kids do at home is NOT what happens when in Disney--its a lot of walking and a lot of visual, etc.

Our 8 year old does not nap here at home but at disney we make her lay quiet in the darken room- no reading, talking etc--to rest up for the evening fun. She is soon fast asleep (even if its for an hour it helps) we also swim before nap time too
