I have saved in my favourites most of the places we want to try and eat at.
I don't know about you all but one of our biggest pleaures is EATING!!!!!!!!
So here goes. This is what is on our planner. Open to change if you can think of better places or would discourage some of my choices. We are there for 8 days so here goes

B'fast: Ponderosa,
Crackerbarrel
Waffle house
Black Angus
Shoney's
IHOP
Bob Evans
Perkins

Lunch: Mels Diner (US)
Sci-fi diner
Sweet Tomatoes

Dinner: Jungle Jims
Hard Rock Cafe
Bennigans
Boma
Ohana
Cheesecake Factory

Lunch is smaller list as we will eat on the hop in the parks unless shopping. Have left 2 free dinner evenings for recommendations. Drooling already :earboy2:
:listen: I am waiting for your thoughts. bEar in mind I have tried some of these places before but some are new and wanted to really try a variation this year.

The Prime Time cafe is very good so maybe you could have lunch if you are in MGM one day?

Hi, we have had a lovely meal in the Olive Garden on I-drive and Race Rock on I-drive as well :wave2:

You don't have Dennys on there. Is that cos you've eaten there before? If not, you should try and eat there. We really like it for a cheap and quick meal.

Only my opinion but we found HRC to be over-priced and over-rated.

TGI Fridays (expecially the one near Pointe Orlando) on I-Drive is lovely. I know we have TGI Fridays here but they are nowhere near as nice as the ones in Orlando (again, my opinion)

If you plan on visiting IOA, you can't fault Mythos for a lovely late lunch/early evening meal.

I have never been there myself but have read bad reports on Jungle Jims of late.

Again, haven't been there myself but Chillis is supposed to be lovely - we intend to try it ourselves this trip.

Another vote for Mythos if you're at IOA and Perkins for a really lazy late breakfast!:flower:

DH and I enjoyed the buffet at Hollywood and Vine in MGM and we all loved the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary.

Happy eating!

Regards
Rosie

Thanks I forgot all about Mythos and we did want to try there. Have put in 50's prime time and Denny's. We did try Jungle Jims last time and thought it was great but that was 2 years ago. May give it a miss. I agree Olive Garden is nice but we have done that a few times so wanting to try somewhere ese. So many restaurants, so little time. :smooth:

Hiya

I second the Chilli's motion.

We tried it on MsPennielane's recommendation and liked the food & service (& price!) so much we went again a couple of days later.

Another thing to add - if you go to IHOP, unless you have got HUGE appetites, share a main course or just order starters if you want dessert as well. The portions are massive.

Another vote for Mythos at IoA. We also love the burgers at the B-Line Diner in the Peabody hotel. Haven't tried Jungle Jims but have heard bad reports. We have gone off HRC - especially in the UK - we've have a couple of bad experiences at the Manchester one. H&V is always on our list.

Yet another vote for Mythos. It has been voted the World's best Theme Park restaurant. It is truly incredible - wonderful theming and beautifully prepared, delicious food.

You will love 'Ohana too! :)

:wizard:

We went to Bahama Breeze last year, and it was one of the nicest meals we have ever had. They also do fabulous cocktails :faint:

Also our family love our food :)

We found Western sizzler far the best for breakfast

And have to agree with Kevin H on the Goldern corral by far the best value meal in our entire 3 weeks
TGI's on the 192 best meal of the hol's along with the meal at Discovery Cove :)
Infact everywhere we ate was enjoyable apart from in our honest opinion Goldern China on the 192 and Shorneys 4 breakfast that were a little dissapointing !

Our fave seafood restaurant is Red Lobster - good food at good prices.

Also recommend Sweet Tomatoes - salad buffet for those evenings when you just cannot face another burger/steak/ribs dinner!! Love their chocolate lava cake.

Firendly's is also one for a change of venue. Typical "home made american" cusine, wraps, salads, burgers, and deeeelicious icecreams/sundaes.

if you've never eaten at Sweet Tomatoes, note that there is more than just the (HUGE) salad bar...
there is also hot food - several kinds of pasta, pizza, baked potatoes and sweet potatoes (and all the stuff to put on it), amazing muffins and bread, great cake, frozen yogurt with stuff to make your own sundaes, a fruit bar,
and probably other stuff i can't remember..

we ate there 4 times, the week before last and loved it....but come hungry....
i didn't even eat any of the food mentioned above....i died and went to heaven just on the salad bar....yummmm.....(i'm a vegetarian)....

by the way, some of the salads have meat as do some of the pastas...

Personally I think both the food and service at Sci Fi is awful - we've tried it every time and everytime it's been just as bad. We've also never much liked Ohana's or Hard Rock but then we're not burger types. What about Jiko and California Grill, both of which were high on our list?

Hi Bellis Belle

A word of warning about Mel's Diner, we went there 2 or 3 years ago, because I love the 1950s and American Graffiti so had been really looking forward to eating there. Whilst the outside is very cool and the cars amazing, the inside was dirty and full of mosquitoes (dead and alive).

It's a while since we've been so hopefully it's improved. If you try it, I hope you have a better experience than us.

In IoA, we love Green Eggs and Hamwiches, and you get a free sticker to prove that you've had one! We also like the Circus McGurkis cafe for lunch.

Our favourite Disney restaurants are House of Blues in DTD and Yakitori House in Japan in Epcot.

We like the atmosphere in the Sci-Fi and the B movie clips, but think the food has gone downhill (cookie monster desserts are still good though!)

Hope you have a great trip.

Hi ArielJasmine

Thansk for that. There are so many to choose from, We tried HOB in DTD also, could try that again. Will judge Mels diner when we get there as its a couple of years since we were there.

Thanks for all your contributions. DH and me are already putting an extra couple opf notches on our belts. LOL :rotfl2:

Ah, don't worry, Bellis Belle, calories don't count when you're on holiday, do they??!! :earboy2:
