What do you think of MJ's father?

I had read or heard somewhere that his wife finally got sick of his crap, and they split. Guess not.

It will be extremely sad if they get the kids. Papa Joe only wants them for the claim on Micheal's estate. Once the debts are paid, he stands to make millions, and millions. I hope MJ set things up, so that the money is saved for the kids once they are adults. Poor babies will be screwed if whoever gets them has control over all the money too.

MJ's parents are so old, though. Is it a smart move to give them the kids...and in a few years when they can't even take care of themselves the kids have to be moved again? I hope it's true that Michael wanted the nanny to care for them, and I hope she gets them.

I totally agree w/ them being too old. Lets hope that a judge agrees.

I think it would be great for the nanny. At least they know her. Probably better than some of the family.

I also read (no clue if it's true) that Debbie Rowe stated she would love to have the youngest boy too, (even though he isn't hers) so that they could all stay together. I have mixed feelings about that too. I've always thought she was just in it for the money too. But I guess I would like her to be part of her children's lives.

Katherine is trying to get guardianship of the kids for the moment which I think is the right thing no matter what her age is. My grandmother is 72 and wouldn't think twice if my grandmother step in with raising my son..At the moment no one want guardianship. Hopefully the oldest sister will help take care of them. BTW we don't no how long Katherine will live. When Princess Diana met Mother Theresa I bet it never crossed her mine that Mother Theresa will out live her...

i watched an interview this AM on the Today Show w/ Mj's long time manager (cant recall the name). He said there in fact IS A WILL. And that MJ's lawyers have it sealed away in a vault until such time as is appropriate to read it. (whatever that means)

The article stated Michael Jackson’s mother asked a Superior Court judge on Monday to name her administrator of her late son’s estate so she can ensure the “King of Pop’s” three children are its beneficiaries.

The court filing states that Jackson’s parents believe he died without a valid will.

We don't no if he had one or not.

I think ALL of Michael's problem rest at his feet. He abused Michael as a child, was a stage parent that makes Dina Lohan look like mother of the year. He is responsible for Michaels need to live some sort of childhood when he was a grown man. Joe is the root of it all.

I can't stand Joe Jackson. He is a creep. He's living off his children, especially Michael. It's sad and pathetic. He doesn't seem like he's grieving at all. I think he's just seeing the $$$$ that is coming with Michael's death. How sad!!

What I have read is that MJ has a long time Nanny, Grace, and she will be with the children WITH the Jackson's! There was even reports that the children refer to Grace as "Mom"!! There were stories that said that MJ said IF anything happened to him, he would want Grace to have his children. Maybe that info is in the WILL that is locked in the vault.

Now as far as Joe is concerned...I am on the same page as most of the DISer's here....I was watching a rerun of that Martin Bashir tape with MJ from 2003. MJ stated that Joe used to tell him when he was little, "your nose is so big, you did NOT get that from ME".....MJ said I was so hurt by those statements and then MJ said he would have to go on stage and perform thinking that everyone watching him would ONLY notice his big nose and not his music. O.M.G.

The CNN BET interview with his was disgusting. He only referred to MJ as his son after repeated questioning by the interviewer. He (and most of his family) seem more considered over the finances than anything.

Just gives everyone a glimpse at the kind of father he must have been.

I really have no opinion of his father. What some call abuse others call discipline. And considering that Michael Jackson was a regressed child, he still sees those spankings from the eyes of a child. I see my spankings from the eyes of an adult and understand that my father did what he had to do. Michael is still horrified by them. Every time one of his brothers (or sisters) was interviewed they ALWAYS ask them about Joe’s abuse. They respond like adults looking back – not children.

It's hard raising kids and our society has too many double standards. The same people that are quick to call family services for ‘abuse’ are the same ones quick to judge a parent when they have an out of control child.
