I am travelling from Newark to Orlando in July. Continental and Jet Blue fly direct. I have flown Continental many times but never Jet Blue.

Jet Blue has much better fares on certain dates. I would like to hear opinions and experiences, pros and cons, etc. on Jet Blue so I can make a decision on which airline to fly.

Thanks in advance

I was jumping up and down when I found out Jet Blue would be having flights out of Newark. I flew then last Oct for a trip to SSR and using them again in Oct for our cruise. I've also use JB out of JFK going to Puerto Rico.

Staff is extreme friendly and helpful. Their planes are some of the newest. Leather seats and for someone who is tall, better leg room then CO or Delta. The planes are clean too! It's all one class of seating (no First Class). They have Direct TV and XM radio in everyseat. They do not serve meals, but offer good snacks. (Love the Blue Potato Chips!)

While they don't have the number of daily flights to MCO that CO does, I'd take JB over Co if the price was right. I keep hoping they will add additional flights. If they could get me to ATL out of EWR, I'd be one happy camper!

I have really enjoyed JB. My way of judging a company is not how they are normally, but how they deal with an issue....anyone can give good service if everything is going okay. Proof is in the 'doing the right thing' when there is a problem.
So, here's our experience.
I booked dh and dd on a direct flight from Boston to MCO on May 16. Departed at 7:10, arriving at 10:15ish. Did that so dd wouldn''t have to miss school. So, about 2 months before the departure date, JB changed the departure flight....from 7:10, to 4:55 with a connection at JFK. So not happy on my end. But, there weren't any alternatives. I checked on JFK and it seemed they would have plenty of time to make the next flight at 7:05...since they would land at about 6ish.
Well, the day before they were to leave (I was already in WDW) dh saw that the 4:55 flight was canceled for that day. So, he kept checking on the flight for the next day. He picked dd up at school early, rushed to the airport, got there about 2:50 when he was told that the 4:55 flight had been changed to an 8:00 departure. He freaked!!! He told them he certainly wasn't going to be able to make a 7:00 flight out of JFK if he left Boston at 8 and he had to be in Orlando that night!!!! Dd started crying (she's oversensitive and her dad had her really worried now). The rep at the counter checked a few things, said grab your stuff (they had only carry-on thank heaven) and they were raced to the gate for a 3:15 flight. Barely went through security...moved everyone else aside!!! Dh had told dd there was a chance they wouldn't sit together, which really rattled her. But, they were able to sit together. they boarded, they shut the door and off they went!!!
So....although I'm not happy about the changes in flight times, I am quite happy with the way they handled the problem. Booked JB for my Dec flight!!!

Wow Diane, I'm so glad it all worked out in the end for your DH and DD! :sunny:

We'll be flying JetBlue for the first time this summer for our Disney cruise trip. I hope they don't change or cancel our flights, but I know that's always a possibility no matter which airline you book, especially when booking so far in advance.

A PLEASURE TO FLY :thumbsup2

We love Jetblue. We had a gracious flight crew, and an awesome flight. They are efficent, and affordable. I personally dont deal with Continental at all, for any price. We used them when we went to Jamaica, and it was the flight from hell. Great snacks, leather seats, double d's coffee, xm radio, personal tv's..come on! What's not to love? You will definately enjoy their service, and you wont want to travel through any other company. Enjoy your trip-From one ex-Jersey girl

I flew JB for the first time in April and can only say I LOVED IT! :thumbsup2

jetblue is the only real way to fly in my opinion they are just that great

JetBlue is my #1 choice when flying to Disney..

Newer planes, leather seats, and most of all....tvs at every seat!!

Love Jet blue it is my favorite airline. I normally travel with a 8 and 9 year old and the tvs make the flight bareable....lol

Everyone is really really nice. I just wish they had more non stop flights from buffalo. :cool1:

We flew Jetblue for the first time last year. And I have to say that we loved it. We are flying them again this year, already have our flights booked. But we had a little bit of a surprise. I just happened to look at our local news on line and there was a heading that said "Jetblue confirms non stop flight from Syracuse to Orlando". Imagine my surprise because Syracuse is our airport. Well I checked it on line and they were booking. I called Jetblue to see if I could switch our flights. The woman on the phone was sooooo nice. She confirmed that we could switch both flights, but it would cost us $180 each way (there are 6 of us). I told her nevermind, we really didn't mind their flight before. Well she told me to hold on, came back and said that her supervisor was checking to see if they could waive the service charge and that it would be a few more minutes, but that she hadn't forgotten about me. She came back and said that I was going to love her. They waived the service charge. So we switched our flight down, but not our flight home (we would have to leave almost an hour earlie). And to top it all off, since I had originally booked on line...I now have a credit with Jetblue. I will definately always use Jetblue for all my trips, if they are flying to where I am going!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Big Jet Blue fans here! :)

Have to say that they sound like a favorite of peanut allergy fliers too ... 3 out of our last 4 flights had all peanut products pulled off the flight and an announcement was made to please not eat any peanut products on board. They are very accommodating! :)

Love them. I flew roundtrip for my DL trip last year, JFK to Long Beach and on the return flight we got in early and there was no gate availabe for us, we sat on the tarmac for an hour. For our incovience they gave everyone a $25 credit towards a future flight. What other airline does that.

We flew jet blue for the first time in April and absolutley loved it. :thumbsup2 DH said he doesn't want to fly anyone else now. It was a great experience.

Jet Blue is my favorite, too. I was thrilled when they came to EWR.
They offer wonderful snacks, comfortable seating, great customer service and cable TV. AND no first class, so you never feel like the flight attendants are too busy with "them" to take care of you. They are all there for you. It was great. I have flights booked w them in August, November and Dec/Jan.
