What do you think of "It's Tough to Be a Bug"?

Thanks for all of the info on "Tough to Be a Bug"! Everything helped so much! I had no idea what the show was really like. I was glad to hear about the bugs being cartoon-like, but worried about the spiders from the ceiling and hornet stings! My DS11 and I are both allergic to bee stings so have a bit of a fear of that.(at least I know to have the kids lean forward for that part so they don't feel it, if we do decide to go!) We will probably try it, based on what I've heard so far, but I will definitely warn the kids about some of the scary parts ahead of time. If my DD8 seems nervous about it at all, we will skip it though. They did freak out at Honey I Shrunk the Audience, but they were both 4 years younger.
thanks for the input! ::MinnieMo

Hi - It's now a year and a half later and I thought I'd give an update on ITTBAB! We never did go and see it on our last trip in Oct. '05. Both kids were very adamant that they did NOT want to see the show! Based on what I read in this thread it was probably a good decision!
We still haven't ruled it out for our next trip this Dec. though.:scared:
thanks again for the input!

I liked it a lot. All the 3-D shows were great!

I was living out of town (in California - traded WDW for DL) when the ride opened and my family had been on the ride. We waiting forever to get on and I was just happy to be in the ac. Well I am wearing around my neck two fan water bottles and the video camera when the stinger comes out the back of the seat. My lovely family didn't bother to tell me that part because they wanted to watch my reaction. I jumped up out of my seat and screamed. The only problem was that when I jumped up, I hit the guy sitting in front of me in the back of the head with the things that were hanging around my neck. Of course, that sent the family into even more hysterics. I was so humiliated. Thank goodness that guy was very nice about it. I now sit up and don't get stung anymore.

What is the "stinger?" And how do they achieve the sensation of roaches crawling over you?

I sat on the edge of my seat the entire time, so thankfully I did not experience the stinger or most of the other sensations.

HISTK is another one I don't like due to the snake.

My Niece (10) jumped up screamed, and ran out as soon as the show started!!!! My DGS (at 3.5) loved it. Now it's hit or miss with him--some days he wants to do it and some days he doesn't. I would suggest the very end of a row --go in and go all the way down a row--that way you can 'sneak out" easily if they don't react well to it.

Doh forgot i already commented on this, all children are different and reactions will be too. The adive on getting an end seat is a good idea as we did and left lol.

Dh loved it and thought it was the best thing at AK. I might have liked it if I wasn't too busy trying to comfort DD3 from all the scary bugs and special effects. From what I did watch, it looked good, but its way too scary for toddlers.
