Hey guys, it's been a while...
I'm now living in Daytona Beach attending chiropractic school... it's definitely WONDERFUL being an hour from the happiest place on earth.
Anyways, to the story- my parent's 25th wedding anniversary is next week, and I was at a total loss as to what to do. In September there's a weekend when I can't go to school on a Friday because they're administering National Boards on campus, and nobody is allowed on unless you're taking the test. I told my parents that I would come home that weekend and watch my sister and send them to Hilton Head, SC or something. I was going to plan out the whole trip. My parents said they'd rather be with my sister and I, so my dad was like "why don't we just come down there to Disney for the weekend?" PERFRECT!
So I will be mailing them a box with a letter in it that says something to the effect of "We will be celebrating your 25 years of love and devotion during a magical night at Walt Disney World. It will begin with dinner for just you to at Victoria and Albert's... and the rest, well you'll have to wait and see." Except I'm going to think up some cute stuff to say and make it like fairy tale story like.
I've talked to V&A pretty extensively about this. They have a 6:00 seating, and they know to not mention money or anything- just get my parents whatever they want. Then, in lieu of the check, they'll get a note that says "Happy 25th Anniversary, Mom and Dad. Love, Christie and Allison. PS Meet us down at the marina"
Where we will be... already checked in for our own private Premier Wishes Cruise... with the sound and everything. The boat is going to be decorated with Happy Anniversary stuff.
I'm so excited. The one thing I'm worried about though is that I heard V&A normally takes 2 1/2 hours. They have written on their reservation to have them out of there for 8:15 so they can meet us for boat pick up at 8:15. I'll be there at 8:00 for the check in, and they already know that my parents won't be there till 8:15ish.
I hope it all works out (and I pray my mom doesn't read this!)
So what do you think?
