What Do You Think My Chances Are?

I talked my DH into a last minute trip in Sept. We are going sept 25 - 28. Three nights, arrive thursday leave sunday. I am waitlisted at:
-BWV studio or 1 bedroom any view
-BCV studio or 1 bedroom
-VWL 1 bedroom

We are talking only like 5 weeks out. I asked to be put on the waitlist until 7 days. I have a backup cash reservation at caribbean beach annual pass rate.

What do you think my chances are of this coming in? It is the first weekend of food and wine and I know there are Halloween parties too. Should I give up all hope?

I think it's going to be tough for the reasons you mentioned. The other impact is the closing of those units in AK.
As a frequent waitlister I always include SSR and OKW. By leaving those out you make it tougher.

I waitlisted the following Wed and Thur for either BW or BC months ago. BW cleared over a month ago. Called back and re-listed BC so I don't have to move. Nothing has cleared yet.

Thanks for the reply Carol. I would have waitlisted for SSR and OKW, but DH is not big on them. As a matter of fact, when I called they told me they had the first 2 nights in a studio at SSR and possibly could get the last night and did I want her to try??? I thought that was a little odd.

What she probably would have done is called CRO or the front desk (this part seems a little vague as to WHO they call) and try to get a cash room released. Sometimes it works.....

I had no luck looking for 4 nights (10/16 through 10/20) for a one bedroom anywhere yesterday. I getting ready to call and try for a 2 bedroom anywhere now....... we'll see what happens.

Were going 10/9 through 10/12 and we only have a 2 day res for 10/10 & 10/11 @ OKW . So I still have the 1st and last night on the waitlist for OKW or all 4 night res for any other DVC resort.
With the F&W, Halloween and Colombus day weekend...chances are slim that anything will come through for us! We'll probably have to stay offsite for the first time ever!

Did you try to get a regular Disney room somewhere? Our last two nights we've booked at POR on a AAA rate. We too are on a WL and I'm having serious doubts that the WL will work this time.
