What do you think if this plan

we leave Thursday morning our flight lands at 9:14 AM. I suggested that we could take DME to AKL but since it's likely our room won't be ready we could just head straight to EPCOT to enjoy WS (my mom never gets to spend as much time here as she would like) for 2-3 hours. Then around 2:30 -3 head back to hotel let kids take a nap and settle in. Leave at 6 PM for MK (fps start at 6:25). PP is our first fp so if we need any time adjustment we'll just drop that one. Do you think we'll get to EPCOT in time to spend any meaningful time there. We can take a flight that gets there at 8:30 but I already hate that my husband has to get up after working the night shift to drop us at the airport so I don't want to take even more of his sleep time.

I would think you would get to Epcot around noon. You will most likely get to AKL just before 11am, check in ( if you have to) then bus to Epcot. Barring a flight delay I would assume noon give or take a half hour. That would give you around 2 1/2- 3 hours at WS before the rest of your plan. The good thing about this plan is that you will get to see a lot of the WS entertainment that is only scheduled in the mid afternoon.

I would keep my plans flexible, but if you get there by 12:00-ish, you will at least have enough time to eat CS lunch in World Showcase and take a walk around the countries. I'm not sure what you mean by "meaningful time," but if you prioritize one, maybe two, things that you'd like to do in addition to lunch, I think you won't be disappointed. Picking up a times guide in your hotel lobby and choosing a performance that you'd like to see (our favorite is Voices of Liberty) may help you get more out of your time.

Great! We will be snacking at the F&G kitchens so no need for lunch per se.
