what do you think about Caylee/Casey Anthony?

Every day on the news, it's a new piece of information.

This is one of the wacky-est cases I've ever heard of.

Who thinks this is Casey's doing -- all on her own?

Anyone think someone in her family is involved?

Everyone knows the mother (Casey) killed her. It is now up the cops and lawyers to build an effective case. Its tricky. They mess up and she can go scott free.

recently I heard that before Caylee's disappearance that Cindy (grandma) at her work had told her co-workers that they were watching Caylee so much of the time. Co-workers asked why she and George didn't just adopt her and she said they couldn't afford it.

She also said there was a lot of fighting going on at home because George (grandpa) had said that something was going to have to happen -- he was done have Casey steal all their money and sponge off of them for every little thing.

I have friends who desperately want a child and they would have gladly adopted her in a minute!

I hate to see this tried in the press or by Nancy Grace who I don't view as an objective news source. I fear that the jury pool will be tainted. Sadly, as a high school teacher, I see so many cases where the kid gets pregnant and then wants nothing more than to continue with the carefree lifestyle of being childless while leaving the grandparents to pick up the care of the grandchild. I think this is an extreme case of that. It seems as though, and again, I only know what's been on the news, that Casey has manipulated anyone and everyone she possibly could, using whatever means necessary, whether that be stealing checks from her friend, stealing money from her ailing grandparent, stealing money from her parents, and I feel truly sorry for George and Cindy. I think George has been realistic in his view of the situation and I feel Cindy was in denial forever, until the body was identified. Who would want to even consider that their daughter was a murderer, and not only that, the murderer of her own daughter. It's incomprehensible for the average person.

I had read that originally, Casey wanted to give Caylee up for adoption. And her parents said no.

Oh, how I wish she would have........

I think the Anthony's had filed for bankruptcy in the spring before this happened in the summer. I know they must be under a lot of stress.

I would respectfully disagree. We don't know all the details, and she had no violent history. I think her parents, if anything, were too doting, fixing all the problems that she (Casey) created.

I too think the Casey did it. But sometimes people are just bad and evil. Its not always a parents fault that their kid turned out bad.

I don't think they really believe that. The writing is on the wall, and George (at the very least) knows it. And don't forget that Cindy is the one who called the cops about the smell of death in the car. She knew. They both did.

I agree that it's not always the parent's fault when a child turns out to be bad, but I suspect Casey's parents have been in "deep denial" their entire lives, covering up for her at every turn, including when their granddaughter went missing for --what--a month?? before they called the cops.

I think it doesn't matter anymore what is and is not true. Casey has already been tried and convicted on the Nancy Grace program.

Nancy Grace is a vile parasite. The trial will cost tax-payers more because finding an untainted jury will be nearly impossible.

I don't think they knew she was missing during that month. I thought that they had a falling out with Casey and wasn't in constant contact with her during that time. I could be wrong though I stopped paying attention to this whole mess after a while.

As for being in denial, I would be too. I would never want to believe that my dd was capable of murdering her own

I think on Larry King that George and Cindy (grandparents) said he was deceased.

But I have wondered if she ever really knew who the father was and if that wasn't just an answer to change the subject. If he were dead, she would have been able to collect social security money monthly.

Her ex- fiance had said he had taken a paternity test and was hoping he was the father. but he wasn't. And he said it didn't matter to him -- he loved her just as much. Her ex fiance also has said that Casey told him that her own brother, Lee, had tried to "you know what" with her before. There's more than just a few people who believe that her brother Lee is Caylee's father.

Wow, that is the first I heard about Lee possibly being the father. Weird and twisted.

Everyone knows Casey did it, even her own parents. Part of me truly feels bad for them because of all that has gone own, and now George runs away and tries to kill himself?!?! But then the other part of me wonders why they never intervened to keep Caylee. This is going to be one interesting case to watch and I hope that Casey gets everything she deserves for what she did to that beautiful little girl.

I don't understand how Jose Baez could represent someone like that, I wonder how he truly feels about her.
