I was just trying to remember this attraction on the other day. I was only on it once.

I think the only thing that I really remember is the screen at the end where they showed different video clips and it felt like you were traveling at high speeds on a bobsled or race car.

Help me remember other things....

Was that BIG screen in The World of Motion
or in "Wings of Man" sponsored by Eastern Airlines in the MK? Or both?

I have distinct memories of a BIG screen where.... The song playing near the end when your ride vehicle went through there went like this......." If you had wings... had wings..... had wings......." as enourmus flocks of white birds, seaguls (?) took flight. It made you feel as if you moving right along with them... kind of a Soarin' predecessor in a way, but much less realistic.

I was a young child at that point...but I can still hear that song as if it were yesterday. Not sure if I am combining rides... am I crazy? :confused3

I mostly remember seeing the cars going up on an angle as you walked towards the pavillion, and how when I first saw it, it brought me back 20 years to the New York World's Fair, seeing it for the first time.

If you Have Wings was the ride in the MK sponsored by Eastern Airlines and I think at one time by Delta.

I remember the World of Motion Ride with the scene of the horse who had dumped his cart because the sound of the new car scared him. I really enjoyed this ride. I also liked seeing the end where they showed you the cars of the future. I guess we are now driving cars like that now.

I think I remember the caveman whose feet were hot and worn out. He was sitting down and trying to cool his feet by blowing on them. I also remember the cars of the future when you got off the ride.

Oh... so many things! I loved this ride, and I keep forgetting that it's gone, so I'm disappointed all over again when I get there!

- The caveman blowing on his filthy red feed
- The Roman chariot going up the street & disappearing, then magically reappearing to do the whole trip again, and again, and again, and...
- The car with the square wheels, this one always cracked me up!

I remember riding in those blue cars on the angle upwards, it was a great photo spot and we have several family photos from there.

I loved the scene where the guy was pumping up a tire on his Model T and a guy on a bike was flirting with his girl friend... :sunny:

Does anyone know if there is a video of World of Motion on the web? I'd love to watch it.

Like someone else said, I loved going up the ramp outside. I always thought it was fun to be outside when I was younger.

I hate Test Track - think it's incredibly overrated and unreliable - and I miss World of Motion.

That scene is from Spaceship Earth (where they are talking about how the Roman road system connected the parts of the Roman empire together, but also provided a way for enemies to get in and conquer it).
There might have also been a part like that in World of Motion, but I don't remember it.

you're not crazy or combining rides.
There was a scene like that in both attractions. (If you had Wings and World of Motion). The one from World of Motion showed the bobsled trail.
You actually traveled thru the screen with the movie playing on the sides and above around you. The screen from "If you Had Wings" is still there in Buzz Lightyear - it's the "movie" that you travel thru before the last room.

My favorite scene from World of Motion is the centaur with the shy girl in front of him.
Here's another website about World of Motion.

I liked the scene with the motorcycle cop behind the billboard. Also liked the song "It's fun to be free".

I loved the old station wagon with the kids hanging out. Also the tipped over cart with the veggies all over. Ok, I really enjoyed the whole thing and wish it were still there.

::yes::
:sad1:

I remember cutting through World of Motion to get to Wardrobe when I was working at Centorium (now MouseGears) during my stint in the College Program. As fun as it was to work at Disney, it was even more fun to be able to see the parks after hours when all the Guests were gone.

I remember being jealous walking up to the pavilion seeing all those lucky people aleady on the ride. Then when I was on it looking down thinking everyone was jealous of us. I also loved that old song, on of the classics.

For some reason I have this image of a man's poking out of a pothole with an apple is his mouth, maybe? Something like that. I also loves the part when you go up the ramp and around while partly outside.

What I remember most is the long line I waited in to see one of my favourite rides!

I loved the song and how the blue cars kind of turned around the front of the building and were almost outside.

I love Test Track but I really wish World of Motion was still there :guilty:

Did this ride have some sort of room you go through that was a huge panoramic screen that showed a video with some sort of blizzard or snow storm that made it look and feel like you were going through??? I went to Epcot for the first time in Nov 1994 and I think this is a ride I was trying to remember.
