What do you put on a lanyard?

My children received lanyards and pins from our travel agent now they are excited about pin trading. At the end of the lanyard there is a hook. What do I put on it?

disney sells large charms to hang off the ends of them.. I remember seeing stitch and mickey, and there are probably plenty of others.. they kind of weigh the lanyard down so it doesn't fly all over..

They sell clear plastic pockets to clip on to hold park passes and room keys.

A lot of folks put a little plastic envelope there that holds a ticket and credit card...a fastpass...that kind of thing.

Some of the lanyards come with those attached. Kind of crappy for Disney not to put one on there for you, IMO.

where do you get your lanyards from and also the clear plastic piece ?

I got the plastic part that I used in 2005 at Office Depot. They still carry them.
Word of warning though - get extras - the plastic piece broke several times after pulling fast passes out of it again and again!

Office Depot also carried Lanyards at that time but I know the you can buy them all over at WDW too.

Also, one good idea i saw for the clip at the end is to get those souvenir cards that say your name and everything at the ride shops.
