You pretty much hit them all right on the nail haha.. those are pretty much what I can remember too.. and miss! :sad1: I also miss Fantasy in the Sky fireworks.. dont get me wrong WISHES is nice.. but I remember Fantasy in the Sky fireworks at 10pm every NIGHT! Yes Pleasure Island where every night is New Years Eve.. remember when they would have that on the resort channel....umm..Discovery Island.. they should have kept.. nice afternoon walk.. or boat-ride over.. I understand of course Animal Kingdom made the attendance go down.. but yeah .. River Country as well(I've been there as a child).. the only reason I'm KIND of glad its gone.. is because the water from the lake etc was un-safe.. I'd rather not have myself or my BF or family.. or anyone take the risk of ingesting that stuff and either making you ill or kill you.. which has happened around central Florida with other incidents w/lakes and people dying or very ill....

There is an ameoba that can enter through your nose and cause an encephalitis. I do think however that they kept the water moving and swimming was still allowed there when the signs were posted at the shores of the resorts. One of the other problems is that it was dark. It was difficult to see the bottom. There have been a couple of drowning there.

20,000 leagues under the sea ride!!!! now the water is completely gone, filled in and pooh's playground sits there..:rotfl: ....

-Horizons the ride in Epcot
-The old verison of Spaceship earth w/ the males voice.. AT&T sponoring
-Alien Encounter(NOT!)
-Before it was Hollywood Studios, I miss it being MGM Studios
-I love the Mickey hat at DHS, but it was awesome before it was there and you can just see the Chinese Theater
-Odyssey--in Epcot where you could get lunch
-I miss the Living Seas--its now Nemo and Friends.. all good and all but I loved the old tank and divers and the ride etc..

I agree with all of your choices, but I especially miss not having to plan a meal. I also loved the Akershus for lunch and dinner before it became "all princess all the time". I loved the buffet. It was a tremendous value. I also miss Horizon, The original Imagination with Figment, Captain EO, and the World of Motion. While Test Track is fun, I miss the original.

haha see im back heres some more

-the guide that use to stand in the front of the boat at "Living with the Land"
-food rocks @ THE Land
-i never got to experience this LOL but my parents when they were on their honeymoon in 1984.. said there was a "swan" ride.. where the water flows around the castle area.. you can still see where the loading dock area is for that!!
-hmm i cant think of it.. maybe its still there i havent notice.. across from the pirates of the carribean use to be a shop? or a food place? not there anymore..
-in Epcot where they now have the "artwork store" use to be a teachers store before that..and even before that i believe was guest services.. and outside the doors were a line of telephones.. i totally remember standing there when my dad would call on that phone to make reservations that night for Le Celliar.. this is WAY back before ADRs.. this is in the 80's-90's where you can make a reservation same DAY! LOL!

Definitely 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It was a popular attraction so "filling it in" had to be about cost. If they wanted to redo it, they could have updated it. I liked Living Seas before. Its as if an effort has been made to dumb down Epcot. UTC used to sponsor the Living Seas and they had a lounge with cookies and soda for all UTC employees. My mom just used to show her badge and we would avoid the very long lines that were so common at Epcot in the early years.

You guys have picked a lot of the good ones, but I miss the nacho guy who used to be right outside the Haunted Mansion. Every year he was always there even at DL there was a vendor in the same spot.

I do wish it wasn't so busy and there was more of a chance to get the adr you wanted.

I would have like to have gotten on Mr. Toad and i do miss Adventure Club.

River Country. I wish I could share that place with my children because they hear my brother and I talk about different things that happened there when we were kids. I know they would have LOVED it!!

ohh yess!! i can totally remember that!

ALSO! at Casey's Corner..there was the SAME guy (he actually might still be there) he plays the piano outside by the seating area.. for many many years.. we went as a family growing up in the 80's-90's and every year he would be there.. we would get a picture with him.. and its neat to compare the different years and him being there each of those years.. but yeah soo interesting!!!
