What do you miss about 1990s DVC?

My DD says the price. She wasn't born until 2006 but really wants her own contract and has been doing the research and seeing 1990's prices has caused a lot of jealous for the good old days of DVC.

Yep, I bought in the 1997 at BWV when the price was an "outlandish" (sic) $62.75 a point. When OKW first went on sale in 1991, it was $48 a point and became $51 when it opened. If DVD had followed actual annual inflation rates when raising prices, the price today for BWV would have increased about 97% to about $121 per point. Price for BWV is now $240 a point, and you would be buying for just under 17 years today compared to almost 45 years in 1997. In other words, considering the per dollar increase and the years owned decrease, the "actual" price increase since 1997 for BWV is more than 500%.

Free park tickets for sure! :goodvibes I still can't quite believe we were lucky enough to get them.

And we could pretty easily book without much notice based on a cheap airfare sale (pretty few and far between these days).
cannot believe this was ever offered, wish we bought earlier had we known about dvc

It was a purchase incentive for OKW when it opened in 1991, but it ended at some point before BWV opened, certainly before we bought in 1997. Owners got tickets for half the room capacity, e.g. studio got 2, 1BR also got 2, etc.
