I seen on another thread that Disney is doing way with EMH, Is this true??
That was one of the perks I liked about staying at the Disney Resorts.
Are they going to lower the price of the resorts since they are taking away a major perk???

It is widely speculated, but not known for certain. They certainly have cut back: evenings are now down to two hours rather than three, and summer season now offers the same number of EMH hours as the offseason does: Five mornings (MK, EP, DS, AK x2) and three evenings (MK, EP, DS) per week.

If they are eliminated completely, I suspect (a) it will take some time before it happens and (b) it will be replaced by differential access to FastPass+, so there will still be some Park-related perk for staying onsite.

Of course not -- staying "in the magic" is your major perk. Everything else is secondary to that.

Wait for the announcements on what the MagicPlus perks for resort guests will include!

I do believe it is coming. Disney has recently cut EMH's for Magic Kingdom starting the last week of May through August. There is now only one day of evening and one morning EMH a week at Magic Kingdom.

If they end EMH it will also make Disney a lot less pleasant for those of us who stay offsite. We base our visits around EMH, as in, we avoid any park with EMH that day because we know on-site guests will swarm the park.

The parks are already intollerably crowded much of the year, I can't imagine it getting even worse.

It would not surprise me if they cut it soon (perhaps within a year or two). My guess would be it will be "replaced" by a perk within mymagic+ to entice people to stay onsite. It makes me sad to think they might cut hours. We prefer the parks late at night.

I have heard from very credible sources (not trying to go all WDW News Today on you guys) that EMH will be significantly scaled back over the course of the next couple years. I have no clue if it will completely go away or not but I have been led to believe that it will be reduced in some form or another. That said, it's all speculation at this point, so assume you will be able to utilize EMH for all future trips.

You're not the only one who feels that way. But as others have said, until they announce something official, it's just one more thing to worry about that we have no control over
