What do you love about BWV besides...

Standard view and guaranteed Boardwalk view options.

Ability to see fireworks from both MK and EPCOT from a BW view balcony.

Peacefulness in the early mornings. The BW view balconies are great places to sit and sip coffee while waiting for the World and others in your party to wake up. The standard view valconies aren't bad either - especially if you get one near the pond. The ducks and other wild critters occasionally put on a show that rivals those in the parks, LOL.

The incredible "Holiday Tag" fireworks added on to the end of the Holiday IllumiNations. I have never seen (or felt) anything quite like it.

The many, many restaurant options within walking distance.

Community Hall - when we travel with our young nephews.

Best wishes -

1) The view/location/points options as guarantees is becoming hard to get except at BWV.
2) NOT TAKING A BUS TO EVERY PARK.
3) Walking to 2 parks.
4) Taking a boat to 2 parks is fun and a nice change.
5) Walking, jogging or biking around the lake.
6) Walking to Beaches and Cream.
7) Watching SE and/or Illuminations from you balcony.
8) Walking with a stroller out of EPCOT or MGM (avoiding the mad Bus Rush) after Illuminations/Fantasmic, the kids fall asleep in the stroller-no folding it up and carrying it in one hand and the kid in the other for 1/2 hour to an hour as the bus turns and lights pop on and off 4 times-peacefull walk to the elevator to the room to the bed.
9) View of TOT.
10) Great pool and slide.
11) Great Room Service.
12) Observing the Boardwalk, especially at night.
13) Grandvillas.
14) Christmas decor.
15) Great Dining nearby.
16) Shopping below your room.
17) View of Yacht and Beach.
18) Great resale if needed.
19) Great rental demand if needed.
20) Bakery in the morning.

Wish I owned there.

I think everyone has almost convinced me to buy there and I have never even stayed there! We are going to check it out on our first trip "home" to OKW. I think having OKW and BWV would be a good mix for us through the years. Thanks everyone!!! :flower:

Our thoughts exactly. We own at BWV for all of the above reasons and at OKW for relaxation, big rooms, spacious balconies and easy parking. Hope you get a BWV contract someday!

Who or what is a Richyams? He's been mentioned a few times, and I can't help but think of candied sweet potatos gone bad at Thanksgiving.

Actually, that's not a bad description of Rich. :teeth:

Richyams was a longtime DIS poster and DVC member who recently died. He had a unique sense of humor and loved to "pull people's legs" . One of his favorites pastimes was to post about BWV's teeny, tiny rooms and its iincredibly long hallways and then sit back and enjoy the ensuing "debate".

Rich was an OKW owner and could always be counted on to sing its praises.

Ahhh, I see. I'm sorry to hear about his passing, but it's nice to see that he's fondly remembered.

It's almost as close to EPCOT as the BCV but, to my way of thinking, has better theming, atmosphere, style and charm.

One of the things I loved about staying so close to EPCOT a couple years ago happened almost by accident: It was about 8:45 pm, and I had some time to kill, and decided to mosey up the path from BCV (a five minute walk) to EPCOT and see if I could catch IllumiNations. I got a FANTASTIC spot on the bridge between France and England -- this was late July, mind you! -- saw a superb fireworks show, and was back in my room by 9:25. Not a bad way to spend 40 minutes, and I can't think of anyplace else you could do that except the EPCOT resorts -- BWV and BCV.

The place also has personality. When I was growing up, we used to spend some of our summers at the Jersey shore and, I have to tell you, it was a lot like the BW -- but the BW is cleaner, friendlier, newer...and it's Disney!! :sunny:

We love BWV for the ability to walk to Epcot and enter through our favorite gate, almost never a line there and back from illuminations. We love to walk back from MGM at the end of the night when the bus and boat lines are HUGE! We love to sit on our Boardwalk view balcony and watch the action. We love to get an ice cream at night and sit in the rocking chairs on the verandah.

Our idea of a perfect family vacation is BWV for the first week when everyone wants to go,go,go. Then on to OKW for the second week when we wind down, relax and enjoy.
