I am looking for all kinds of good yummy things to make in mine! Tomorrow I am going to make London Broil in mine for the first time!

Going to cut the London Broil into strips and add a can of Beef gravy, with about a 1/2 can of water! I will let it cook on low most of the day while I am out. say for about 4 to 5 hours. That should have it around med, with a slighty pink inside. I will then saute some onions drizzles with olive oil to smother on top! I hope it comes out! Wish me luck.... :lovestruc

Boneless BBQ pork spare ribs. Yummy, 4 hours on low, prior to putting in pot I brown them. mmm, mmm, good.

I love my crock pot, especially once the weather cools down. I love to come to home when something has been cooking the crock pot all day. It makes the house smell so good! I like to cook spare ribs, pork tenderloin, london broil and stew in it.

I cook "roast" beef in mine. I put the roast in and cook it all day, I only add butter and salt/pepper. It is delicious! My best friends sister was painting our house in the spring and I fixed this for dinner one night, she still talks about how good it was.

I have made a roast, ribs, london broil all of which was so tender I didn't even have to cut it up. Also boneless chicken breast in lemon pepper sauce then serve over rice.

I love chicken in the crock pot. I buy whatever dark meat is on sale (leg quarters are really good), skin them, and cook until just barely done. Then I drain off the liquid and add whatever sauce I want to use. Sometimes I just use bottled BBQ sauce. I also really like dijon mustard with apricot preserves, at about a 2:3 ratio, with a little rosemary stirred in. Bottled BBQ sauce stirred with an equal amount of cranberry sauce is good, too. I dump the sauce over the chicken, and then cook for another hour or two until the sauce is hot and bubbly. (You can put the sauce on when you dump the raw chicken in, but the juice that accumulates as the meat cooks will dilute the flavor of the sauce.)

1/2 cup of soy sauce (low sodium)
1 12oz. can of orange soda (regular or diet)
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Cook on low for about 6 hrs. YUM!! The chicken comes out so tender.

My problem with chicken is it comes out some dry. Like suck the water out of your mouth dry. This sounds good though. Orange soda, really? I might give it a try. (looking for no milk or eggs dinner for DD with allergy, so that would be good.)

I LOVE my crockpot :goodvibes
Fix dinner in the morning when I have the energy, play all day, and by night it's ready to go! I have lots of favs, but here is my kids favorite. Infact, we had it tonight.

Crock-Pot Chicken Indonesian (from "Saving Dinner" by Leanne Ely)
1 TBL soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced (I cheat and use the pre-minced stuff in a tube)
2 tsp grated fresh gingerroot (same here, pre-minced in a tube)
1 1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
6 skinless chicken thighs
1/2 c. peanut butter

In small bowl, combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and cayenne pepper. Place chicken in a crockpot. Pour sauce mixture over the top of the chicken. Cover and cook on low heat setting 6 1/2 - 7 hours or until chicken is tender and fully cooked. Remove chicken from crockpot and stir peanut butter into juices until smooth. Spoon sauce over chicken to serve.

Serve with rice (I have a rice cooker too, so I start the rice before I mix the peanut butter in the juices). Goes nice with some steamed broccoli and baked sweet potates. Yum. I make a double batch since I have a big family, and even the picky eaters ask for seconds...and thirds...

Homemade Tomato sauce - includes sausage & meatballs - let simmer all day mmmm mmmm good!

Sorry, forgot to quote-see next post.

Nah, that one hasn't been dry on me. If it was though, you could shred it up like bbq (with a fork, it's that tender, falls apart) and just spoon the "sauce" over it...We serve it over rice and spoon the sauce over anyway. I like doing it with "tenders" instead of breasts...The smaller pieces seem to take in more of the liquid. It would be good for your daughter for sure, that's literally ALL I put in it.

simple pulled pork. season and sear part of a pork loin in olive oil and then throw it into the pot with a bottle of beer and onions on low. it'll be fork tender after a few hours, and then mix in your favorite BBQ sauce. great, easy sandwiches.

Dh all time favorite, its an appetizer but he eats it as a meal!

Cheesy Chicken Dip

1.5 lbs cooked shredded chicken (can use fresh, canned, whatever)
1 can cream of chicken
8 oz sour cream
log cream cheese
4 oz monterey jack cheese
1 small can green chilies
1 onion chopped

Heat it up and eat it with chips! yummy!

I just got my first crock pot delivered today (from QVC - it was their special value a few days ago). I can't wait to use it. Thanks for all the inspiration!

I like to use a crockpot to make corned beef and cabbage.

"Remember how I needed to go but a can of soda this morning? Well, I mixed it with soy sauce....done!"!!!! That was the QUICKEST dinner I have EVER made...and yummy! Looks like I will be keeping ornage soda around a lot! :rotfl2:

Do you put the chicken in raw.....?? It sounds so good but I am leery about putting chicken in uncoooked.
