I too think this board is very hard to improve. I come here first, then the UK community board and then the US DVC boards.

This board is very much like a community board and I feel I am amongst family and friends. When the DVC community board disappeared I felt very lost but now I feel at home again.

I too like to check on the latest information. I do love a good rumour but they are so few and far between!!!

I too would like more information on UK trips as we like to do these every school holiday when can't get to WDW. When I was going to Camelot I found the information given out to me on here extremely useful. Thanks everyone. Any theme park information is always welcome to me.

Not on this board I would hate to see this Florida Trip Planning Forum get clogged with OT reports/discussions on other places.

You can use the UK Community Board to post these sorts of Trip reports and threads though I would certainly be interested if posted there!

I think photos should be banned too because they make the threads so long you spend ages scrolling down to the next one and to be honest I couldn't care less what the posters and their families look like ( I know I'm a miserable old ******!).

Otherwise I think the forum is great and I like the differing views even though I know mine are always right!

There used to be something on these boards about abbreviations - I don't understand most of them rarely use them, I do even write 'in my honest opinion' rather than (IMHO) , guess I just do not like using them.

However, I DO know that MNSSHP = Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party but most of them I am stuck on.

And a pure guess MVMCP = Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?

Come to think of it I am an expert on abbreviations!!

I wish everyone would do this - for nearly 50 years I have been nicknamed Lol - shortened from Laurence - and since computerisation my moniker has been mistaken thousands of time and i hate it!!!!!

Or maybe Johnny is having his own back for the 1-4 drubbing at Anfield the other week heeheeheeheeheehee (because we both hate smilies hahaha).

Although the list looks long and scary in reality only a small percentage are used on a regular basis and you do get used to them very quickly I promise

If you go to your User Cp and then edit options, if you scroll down you will see this

Hi All, I think these Boards are wonderful and i personaly love the smilies, SDD's (it's wonderful to show support to fellow disers that have been waiting sooooo long for their trip) and ALL the Photo's as i love to put faces to ALL the people i have been chatting to or have helped me in any way, it also makes me laugh(or cry) when i see some of the piccies of kids (and some adults) being captured during a magical moment! I'm one who would be very sad to see this stopped.

I would just like to say a BIG THANKYOU to all the MOD's on these boards because i can only imagine the amount of time and work they put in to keep us all happy Disers.

If the SDD's are poplular then fair enough.

I would much prefer to see someone saying they are going on holiday and thanking people for the advice given.

If we have to have the SDD then it should be a seperate forum - to be perfectly blunt whilst I think it's brilliant that we can all share our experiences and wish each other a good holiday I really find them annoying - it's the one thing I could genuinely pick out as something I 'like least' about the site and it does surprise me that it is something that is picked out as being people's favourites.

All that said, it is about opinions and the fact we all have different one's is part of the attraction to this site. If we all felt the same way about things it would be pretty boring - so each to their own.

SDD are fine - makes me smile that one day i'll be able to do one myself!!!

Pictures are perhaps best on trip reports boards?

What are "stickys" and how do you get to them.....

Kev - the stickys are the threads at the top of the page with pins stuck in them - one is "WDW Secrets" and the other "Useful Information for Trip Planning". See the ones I mean?

Stickys are useful for information that you want to be kept on the front page. I think the problem with stickys is that you can have too many of them, so I am keen to keep them to a minimum
