What do you hate about Disney?

I believe you misunderstood me. I'm saying that people shouldn't concern themselves with whether or not others "deserve" to be using a wheelchair.
;) Ditto. :goodvibes

The food is over priced, the tickets are over priced, and the hotels are over priced. It just costs too much.

Of course they will charge what ever they think they can get... and I guess enough people will continue to pay it - but what I hate about Disney the most is that the corporation is greedy.

Pretty much like every other corporation. They will make what they can. It is their obligation to their shareholders.

::yes:: Gasoline = $3.05 per gallon for reg. unleaded @ the 76 station on PC1 (Malibu...near Pepperdine). :confused3 Crazy.... :scared1: :sad2:

And the mugs are now $11.99!! (We bring all ours back-even other resorts)

I know prices are high in Disney but the WDW policy is that you only can use your mug at the resort purchased during the time purchased, so you are basicly stealing. :sad2: Well, on a lighter note here is the reason you should follow the Disney Mug Policy, I posted the story on this thread:

This was the question:

I was looking at my POR mug that I got last month and there is a lid at the bottom that can be pulled off. It says not to put liquids in it? What is it for?? Can you put ice in it or a snack?? I am completely clueless. :flower:

Here is my story:

It is a tracking device. If you try to fill the mug at a resort that the mug was not purchased at it will deactivate the soda machine so you can't fill up and alert Disney security. pirate: I seen this happen at the CBR, a guest had a mug from the AS Sports and was going to fill up at CBR but when he tried to fill it nothing happened because of the tracking device on the bottom but he didn't know that. Within about 3 minuets while the guy was still trying to figure out why the machine wouldn't despense his soda 2 security guys came and confiscated his mug and the other mugs from his family of four. His wife and kids were sent back to their rooms at the all star under house arrest for the rest of the day and he was taken in handcuffs to Chef Mickeys where he had to wash dishes untill the Resturant closed that night, afterwards he was taken to the MK where he had to clean every restroom in the park using only a Mickey Mouse ::MickeyMo toothbrush, each restroom was inspected by Mary Poppins for her aproval before he could be finished, he had no memory of what happened after that but woke up the next morning at 9:30am proped up against his room at the AS Sports wearing a Peter Pan costume and bare feet. His family had all priority seating privileges taken away for the remainder of their stay and when it came time for check out they had to pay the hotel rate as if they had stayed in a tower suite at the GF. So remember, you an only fill up your mugs at the resort they were purchased at during the stay they were purchased.

US too!! Couldn't agree more. We bought a family "brick" in the walkway back in '94. It's still in great shape, and always fun to revisit each summer. This was a great idea, and we still enjoy "reading" the ones set in the pathway as we stroll along the winding course back to the CR (after a long day in the MAGIC)! Wasn't this little promo enough? We contemplated (for a NY minute) the "legacy" thing, but after seeing the thumb-print sized photos, and the massive & oddly cold marble/stone structures they're placed upon...we would never be interested. These should be moved to DTD. ;) I believe it would have been much better to offer a giant computer screen, where people could place their family photo, date and sentiments. When returning, or even from home...they could look it up in the database, and delight in remembering the magic of their last visit, etc. Something like this, would be FREE...and "included" with park admission. Are you listening ROY? :goodvibes :confused3

When there seems to be a shortage of CM's, or when they ignore line cutters/smokers.

Everyone is too quick to judge others. How many times have their been threads on this very board about people "abusing" wheelchairs and ECVs at WDW? IMHO, people should just mind their own business and not worry about what other people are "getting away with."

Same goes for people cutting in lines. Is it rude? Sure. Is it worth getting upset about? Doesn't seem like it to me.

I agree. I'm usually just happy to be at WDW period. I've been pushed aside by a middle-aged man who was in a hurry to get to the next attraction and had people cut me in line. But being at WDW is the highlight of my year, and it's probably the same for a lot of people on this board. After waiting nearly 20 years to get there, nothing could make that a bad trip. How can anybody be upset for too long when they realize that they could have been at work that day? It puts a lot of things into perspective for me. That being said, the thing I do hate is that if you want a family of five to stay in a room at Disney, you have to either get another room or go deluxe.

The MAD rush to get on the monarail after Wishes is over. An adult man actually knocked my DD 5 to the ground trying to get on the monarail, whats the hurry? COME ON people there is another one comming in a few seconds!! Its not like your going to get stuck in the park for the night, although that would be cool :cool1:

IT does seem that way...at least to my kids. They ask me "are all these people dead?"

i say the leave a legacy as well..i do not think it fits there well at all..it seems like a ploy for them to get us to spend more $$$$...just IMHO

:scared1: DISNEY????? A ploy to get us to spend more money????? Ohhhh, say it ain't so!!!!

There's only one thing I hate about WDW...

Why did it have to be so far from where I live? :sad1:

That funny smell in the air that would drift by every now and then! What it was, we have no idea. Yet we smelled it everywhere-inside the resorts, outside at all of the parks-it was everywhere! :crazy2:

scooter abuse, crazy stroller drivers (control those things!), people smoking in non-smoking areas.
