Crush remianing cookies and set aside to sprinkle on top
Roll cookie/cream cheese mixture into small balls
Melt choc.
Dip cookie/cream cheese balls into choc and sprinkle with remianing crushed cookies.
put in fridge to set up

I made these for Christmas this year and everyone loved them.

Oh those sound deadly! I love it!

My kids traditionally get a new pair of jammies and hershey kisses (one bag to share) I loved it back when hershey put them in a nice box, but they don't seem to do that anymore.

This year, I think the kids will get new bedding and a stuffy. I'll make cookies.

Yikes - I'm in the minority here - I've never gotten my kids a thing! I never got anything growing up, and my boys have never mentioned that their friends get Valentine's Day gifts - so I just assumed that was the norm. I do bake a red velvet cake in a heart shaped pan that they look forward to decorating, and I send them off to school with their Valentines for the class party, but that's it! They come home with enough candy & trinkets from the school party, that I guess I figured they didn't need anything else from me!

I'll make sure they don't read this thread or they'll be expecting something this year!

Replace "red velvet cake" with "sugar cookies" and this is our family! Now, Mommy & Daddy exchange cards and presents, but not with the kiddos.

Both DD are getting a nintendo DS game and a few Disney dollars. Of course that may be to keep them quiet as we will be spending the time driving to WDW>:cool1:

This year I am giving my daughter Tiffany :love2: a heart shaped box of earings that I got after christmas at K-Mart for $4.00 for 25 pairs of earings.I usally give a small box of candy but she got her ears pierced last month so I thought she would like having some new earings. I will also put a few coins under her pillow. I do this every holiday and tell her it's must be from her brother Steven who passed away in 2007 . She always smiles and says thank you awhile looking up to heaven.

I haven't read all the replies, so someone may have already posted this suggestion.

My kids get a small box of candy. However, they have to search the house for that box. I write up little "clues" to send them to their next destination, which will ultimately lead to their Valentine. Each kiddo will have 3-4 clues to follow. As they get older, it is getting MUCH harder to come up with the clues. I really have to sit down & do that soon.

The kids LOVE this. They each get their own set of clues, so it's fun to watch them running in different directions. I started it a few years ago, thinking it would be a one-time thing. Not a chance. Now they expect it every year. :upsidedow
