What do you eat for breakfast?

I appear to have either developed an allergy to eggs, or had one that's gotten worse, because lately any time I have anything with eggs (scrambled, fried, boiled), my throat starts hurting and swelling just a bit.

Well, needless to say, no more egg at breakfast for me.

I also can't eat sausage, can't have anything with soy or lactose, and need to avoide processed meats (lunch meat) where possible.

Um...

What else can I have for breakfast? :p

Cereal and oatmeal don't stay with me so I'm hungry within an hour.

I can't handle fruit on an empty stomach.

Help??

Wow, you're pretty limited there. I'm a little odd--I have a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat every morning. I have low blood sugar so that's my first breakfast at 5:00 a.m. For my second breakfast, I have a small cup of Cheerios with milk around 8:30. Then I usually have a banana around 11. DH says I'm a hobbit. First breakfast, second breakfast, and elevenses. :teeth:

Dan, I don't honestly remember. I'm debating whether I should go in to the allergy dr for it *before* or *after* our England trip. I have had allergy tests and know I'm allergic (with the potential for it to become serious) to soy, nuts (peanuts especially -- thankfully at this point only if I *eat* them and only a mild throat-ache and itching), and shellfish.

Amy -- LOL!

Grape Nuts! Tends to keep me fuller longer than other cereals.

I have Kashi oatmeal and it keeps me full.....

1 cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch- way more filling than regular cereal. And a glass of OJ.

I have an english muffin, lightly buttered, or a packet of oatmeal or a drinkabe yogurt around 8:30. Around 10:30 I have a piece of fruit, usually a banana or a cereal bar (NutriGrain or chewy granola).

I have a granola bar (not the candy kind, the regular Nature Valley Apple Crisp or Peanut Butter ones) and a diet pop in the car on the way to work. It's the breakfast of champions who like to sleep late!

There are also microwavable pancakes, french toast and pastries. You could have waffles or english muffins.

Can't think of anything else!

Well this semester I'm not a big eater (although after today's incident that may have to change  ), but last semester I had a bagel almost every morning. I'm also a fan of Special K cereal bars and apple sauce. My stomach doesn't like fruit early in the morning (ok it doesn't like any food early this semester) but apple sauce will stay with me fine. It's pretty filling too

Yogurt wiht blueberries or oatmeal with blueberries. You have a problem with oatmeal sticking with you? Oatmeal fills me up till lunch usually.

I use the quick oats kind in the round box and microwave it with milk..

herc.

peanut butter whole wheat toast with some fruit mostly, sometimes bagels and cream cheese, Kashi, homemade oatmeal ...again all with fruit....I am vegetarian, so do the veggie sausage..also eggs don't agree with me so I avoid them.....occasionally have something with pasteurized egg stuff.
