What do you do with your drawings from Animation Academy?

Having now visited the World 3 times in 4 years, we have A LOT of drawings from the Animation Academy. To give you an idea of how many drawings I'n facing.... 5 people. First trip, we visited AA once. (5 drawings) Second trip, two visits to AA (5+10=15 drawings). ON our trips this past March, we visited Animation Academy 3 times (15+15= THIRTY DRAWINGS!!!!!)

We have the drawings from our first visit stuck to the wall in the kids' playroom.

I'd like to do something a high nicer with a few from our last trip (maybe 1 per person) as the kids are older and their drawings actually look pretty great. I'm thinking maybe shadow boxes, using the drawgins and other memorabilia from the visit, but I'm unsure how to even start. (I'm creatively challenged.... :confused3)

Suggestions?? Ideas?? Thoughts?? What have you done with your drawings from Animation Academy??

TIA :)

I have looked at a large album to mount them in -- actually forgot about it since our December trip until I read your post! Guess I know what I'll be surfing the net for during lunch ;) but I did find an album online with the right size pages. Also thought about mounting one per family member but like you we have 5 in our family and we have about 30+ drawings and not much wall space at home, and it would be hard to choose which one! I thought if they were in an album we could have it sitting out and flip through them more easily.
Hope to accumulate even more on our trip next month! Looking forward to hearing any other great suggestions too.

We have a TON from our trip to Disneyland. I ended up taking pictures of them and will put them in an album. They are just too big for our little space.

Keeping an eye on this thread for ideas as well!

We too do the drawing quite a bit. 10 trips over the last 3 years and we do it 4-5 times each trip! As of right now, I have more than 200 drawings and no clue what to do with them! :confused3

I would love to have my daughter do this when we are there in August. Can anyone tell me what size the paper is so that I can get a frame for it?
Thanks,
Pat

I know what I'm doing with mine - I just haven't done it yet. We have a small downstairs half-bath that my DH designed, that is all black and white. I am going to get a couple of the filmstrip wall frames (they have them at IKEA) that hold about 6-8 4x6 photos. The frame hangs on the wall and looks like a film strip. I am then going to pick my favorite drawings, scan them into the computer, print them on 4x6 photo paper and put them in the frames. If it comes out as nice as I think it will, I will put up some pics when done.

This is what I did with some of ours;

My husband and I did a bunch on our visits before kids and when we did the college program together. I photocopied our best ones so that I could shrink them down as they are very large.

Then I made a collage, framed it, and hung it in the nursery for when our twins were born. We have 3 kids now and the picture still hangs in our boys' room. It is such a neat memory when I look at it.

That is adorable! I just informed my husband he must do this enough times to line the wall of a nursery for our yet to exist child, lol. He has awhile do get it done. ;).

Right now I have his best ones on the fridge. Mine end up in an abyss somewhere....

Love that idea with the filmstrip frames! As many times as we have been to Disney we have NEVER done these drawings  It's on the agenda for our trip this summer! :)

We have a stack of them. My Hubby and I go there at least once a trip usually more, then if we bring the 'kids' (now 23,25,29) with us I have those also. Last time we went with the 2 older ones, about 4 years ago, the oldest put hers on the fridge. It's still there:) The rest are in a pile, keep saying I'm going to frame them all and put them on the walls, but I LOVE the idea of a scrapbook type binder to put them all in. I wouldn't have to buy a Frame shop then to frame them all:lmao:

I just measured mine, it was 15 inches wide and 10 inches tall.

My son and I did one on our last trip, and I'd like to frame them. His is really good considering he was only 5 at the time. It looks like Picasso drew Pluto. :thumbsup2

We were construction a media room shortly after a Dineyland trip. We decided to do a subtle Disney theme to the room. Sort of upscale like the Contemporary Resort. I created a collage of our sketches. i created a logo and framed about 12 of our family's drawings, then adheared them to a slab door i painted black.

Now THAT'S ADORABLE! So creative!

What we do with them is have a Photpass photographer take a family picture with us holding each of our sketches at about chest level. Then we save that picture so we have both the drawings and the memory preserved w/o having to worry about where to put such large and numerous drawings (as we, too, do AA multiple times/trip).
