What do you do with your camera while on rides?

I plan on taking it on some rides with me, but I don't want to take any chances with it on other rides, it is a Canon XSi and just a few months old. I don't want to risk it getting wet or damaged. So what do you do with them? Do they have the cubbies by the rides where you get on to hold things, I've seen these at other theme parks?

Thanks,
Michele

I'v got a backpack style camera case that I keep my XSi and lenses in and I've taken it on every ride at WDW, usually just put the bag on the floor between my feet for things like BTMRR, Test Track, Expedition Everest, etc... etc...

If my camera comes along on a ride, I always hold it. I often travel with just my camera, and no bag...when I do, I prefer to keep one hand on the camera at all times...even if the other hand has to hold onto the safety bar on faster rides. I'd never feel comfortable with my camera on the ground unless it was in a padded camera bag.

BTW - I also keep a ziploc bag folded in my back pocket...that way you have a cheap emergency wetness protection for your camera, both on wet rides or in sudden rainstorms. The large bags can accomodate a DSLR even with a pretty big lens (I fit my A300 and 18-250 zoom in there).

I just got back Sunday from Disney World and often kept my camera (Sony A350) out with the lens hoods on. On the rides I did put it away, I used a Lowepro sling bag for it. I am considering getting the Lowepro backpack style bag for the next trip.

The giant storage ziplock bags will fit an entire backpack in them. That is what I do on water rides.

I'm going to have to look around for the giant ziploc bags, because there are some rides I would like to take photos on and then put the camera up.

I always have my camera out, also the Canon XSi. The only ride I don't have it out is KRR. I found some plastic camera bags that you can use to cover your camera and still take pics, I think it was $7 for two bags at a camera shop. I have only used it once, but it started raining while waiting for the SWW parade and I had been wanting to try to get some great pics with my Canon.

I also have a Lowepro camera bag/backpack for my camera when not in use.
