what do you do when you call the wrong number

I always say I'm sorry, I dialed the wrong number, and then hang up.

I have a weird story, though...

one night, when I was at DL of all places, I was using my mom's cell phone (mine was broken.) I accidentally misdialed my dad's #, but hit cancel before it went through, or before I thought it had gone through (it said it was connecting, hadn't started ringing yet.) The next morning, as I was giving my mom back her cell, it rang. It was the guy I had misdialed. My mom explained that her daughter had misdialed, and apologized. The guy proceeded to start freaking out, and started asking "who is your daughter?" over and over. My mom told him that it was none of his business, but he kept pressing her. She finally hung up on him...it was freaky. Then, about 2 hours later, he called back! He hung up, though, this time, before we could answer it. It was just weird...
