We get to go to Disneyland! in December and couple of nights we are there are during the CM parties. We do not plan on going to California Adventure after Disneyland closes at 6. What should we do from then?

Have dinner. Don't waste the last hours in the park eating. Go to a hotel, DTD or Garden Walk for Dinner. Look through a couple stores in DTD. Get to bed early since the park opens earlier than normal those days.

Downtown Disney had live music every night when we were there in Feb 2010.We enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate while watching people dance. We did a little shopping and just enjoyed the ambience of DTD.:cloud9:

If you have lots of time then you can catch a movie at the DTD theater complex. Or go to the ESPN Zone and play games. Schedule a dinner at DTD or one the hotels.

DL/CA clpses early on most of the days we will be there, so last year one night we went to Medieval Times which took care of dinner and great entertainment. This year we are going to the Pirate Dinner one night and Ripley's Believe It Or Not another night. I agree with the posters above about spending time walking around DTD or sitting and enjoying the music. Hope this helps!

I'm going the 2nd week in Dec. When are the parties this year?

We'd stroll down to Main St shop but I think with CM parties, they'll have a hard closing mean no time to stroll and wander.

I agree with this. I like being on Disney property as much as I can, so I would have dinner at DtD or one of the Disney hotels. Afterwards I would meander about those same areas, and then head back to my hotel shortly before bedtime.

We stay in Downtown Disney as much as possible and then head over to GardenWalk. :thumbsup2

I know you didn't ask (and sorry for hijacking the thread a little bit), but I wouldn't waste my time and money going to Ripley's Believe it or not. It is totally not worth it!

If you have young kids, it might be a good time to go to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. Nothing like a character meal to make you feel like you are still in the parks! Where are you staying? If you are on property, see if there are any activities going on at the resort. Some of the off property motels have indoor/covered pools or a hot tub. So grabbing a bite to eat and relaxing in the pool might gets you recharged for an early mornig the next day.

Figures we will be there the 9th through the 12th but it sounds like it might work out because we have to leave to get to airport around 5 and they close at 6 right?
