What Do You Do to Make Sailaway Uber Special

We enjoy an All Hands On Deck cheese platter from room service, some cold bubbly, and the calm of our verandah.

We go to Satellite Falls until we pass the sub basin, then head down to the Promenade, Starboard, to watch the harbor pilot disembark.

After 9 cruises and always being up on deck to celebrate sailaway, the 10th cruise we just got drinks and sat on our balcony -- and it was fabulous. We put our feet up and watched the land sail by and waved to all the fisherman. It was so relaxing -- and quiet. Now if we are sailing from a new port, we like to be up on deck to take pictures and watch the sites; but our new thing from repeat ports and PC will be to spend it on our balcony. The Hands on Deck platter is a great idea.

My kids are older (13, 11 and 8) and are Platinum cruisers but for their xmas surprise cruise I've bought a couple pairs of the large Mickey a
hands for them to wave during sail away. If youre sailing out of PC, the cast members from the terminal wave at the people on the ship with those big white Mickey hands. Thought my kids would get a kick out of waving back with the same hands!
