What do you do the day you check in?

We jump right on a bus for the MK! ( we normally get to the resort around 8:30 am) and then come back around 4 and check out the resort, swim and unpack then get ready for dinner normally Ohanas on our first night.

Well, we usually get a morning flight in... so, we check in... see our room briefly (since magical express has most of our luggage) and instantly head for the parks. :moped: I absolutely HAVE to see the castle right after we get there... it's a tradition... so, we head to the MK first, and I really know that I'm at WDW then! :dance3:

We usually arrive later afternoon, check-in, explore the resort a little and then head to explore the area and buy a few groceries. At night we go to Downtown Disney and shop.

We will be arriving early afternoon. We will head to MGM for a couple hours since that is the park we plan to spend the least amount of time in. Then we plan to eat dinner and check out the resort before heading to bed somewhat early for EMH at MK the next day.

For us it depends on what time we are checking in. If we have a later check in (i.e. late afternoon), we just head over to DTD and also go to Winter Summerland. This year we have an earlier arrival time, so we'll be at MK.

We leave for WDW pretty early in the morning, so that we can get to our resort, check in, and head out to the MK for lunch at Casey's Corner. It's a tradition that we have our first meal at WDW at Casey's :teeth: . Then we usually walk around the MK and get onto whatever rides we can in about 1-2 hours, and then we head back to the resort, ride our room, unpack, and head out for dinner. :thumbsup2

I LOVE THE FIRST DAY!!!   :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :woohoo: ::yes:: :upsidedow

We ususally catch an early flight as well (6:30am), but since we are coming from California, we don't check in until after 6pm.

Since we're pretty wiped out by that point, we just go have dinner at one of the casual restaurants at the hotel or at another nearby hotel. Then have an ice cream or something and head back up to the room.

Hey you will be at AS Sports around the same time my family is. We will be staying at our "second home" from 9/19-9/26 and also attending our first halloween party on 9/22- I received four tickets via fedex express today- what a nice surprise. Maybe I will see you there- I will be the on sitting poolside late at night drinking a Team Spirits strawberry daiquiri- yum yum!!!!!!! Which building are you staying in? We are in surf's up building #1.

Ooopps!!! Forgot to answer the question. This coming september we have a late flight, won't be getting at the resort until around 6pm. No parks for us that night- don't want to waste a day's admission so we are going to hang around the resort and soak up just being at DISNEY!!!!!!!

Last visit, we arrived in mid afternoon, and DS8 headed to BB for a quick waterpark splash, while DW and DD2 unpacked, relaxed, napped. Then DS and I went back to the resort to change and pick up DW and DD for a trip to EPCOT for well timed ADR at Rose and Crown for Illuminations.

Our past two trips we got in very late so we went straight to bed. If all works out well on this upcoming trip I plan on exploring DTD and then later eating at HDD! :thumbsup2

When we have APs we head to a park. If we're on hoppers, we either do a monorail resort run, or go to DTD.:earsboy:

Yeah, looks like we will be there for the first couple days of your trip! (9/12-21st for us). I'm not sure of our building yet. I'm starting to get nervous! Haha. But we booked through AAA, so hopefully our stuff will be in soon! Hopefully I'll have our windows all decorated! I'm excited to possibly meet/recognize people from the DIS! I'll look for you sipping your daiquiri and then maybe join in myself! :thumbsup2

We usually arrive in the afternoon and prefer to take it easy that first day...enjoy the resort, maybe a pool, and have a nice meal that evening before heading to the parks the next morning.

i go to the room, pull out my wallet, lay all my money out on the bed and say goodby to it. :wave2:  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We usually check in (we always arrive in the afternoon) and then hit a park. Or we head over to DTD explore and eat dinner. On the forst day of our honeymoon in 2002 we went and saw "Cirque"

This year we are driving halfway (7 hour ride) and stopping outside of Jacksonville for the night. We will then wake up early the next morning and make it to Disney by 9 a.m. We are going to see if a room is ready for us, but if not, stow our luggage, get our tickets and head to a park. I have months to go, but I'm trying to make an "open" itenerary already.

I usually arrive around noon, but this time I will be there around 2 or 3 (I think.) I will probably still head over to Epcot (from the Boardwalk) although this time I don't have an AP and will be wasting a day on my pass just to spend a few hours at Epcot.

This is what has become our tradition. We take a morning flight from Boston, arrive at our hotel by noon. We check in, check out the resort, unpack, and head to the 7:15 PM Hoop Dee Doo!!! A great way to begin our WDW vacation!

We usually have a very early morning flight arriving in Orlando around 9am. We check in the hotel. Go to the room if it's ready to check it out. Then we head straight for MK. I think I would go crazy if I didn't hit the park right away.
