If, like before, have to get to airport about 3pm. I'm usually in a really grumpy mood, cos facing the enivitable of having to go home i just want to be home and it just takes so long......before we have done last minute shopping at DTD and also gone to toys R us to get the kids back home some prezzies. i may just do the early DTD check in so i am not worrying about the luggage and go somewhere else for a few hours.

jna said:Johnny,
I was hoping you might reply, as I knew you had used PE. I couldn't recall a seperate queue at DTD, so this is good news for us. We will set off early from Clearwater and get to DTD asap so that we have as long a day as possible before going home.
It is my preference because I'm not keen on leaving all our luggage in the car, whether or not it's in a WDW parking lot.
Thanks very much for your reply.

We never used to bother with DTD check-in. I'm a nervous flyer and could never relax and enjoy the last day, so we were always at the airport in good time and never had a problem checking in there. The more I fly, though, the less nervous I have become, so we have been using the DTD check-in facility recently (maybe 4 times).jna said:Decided to use this thread to ask if travellers who have booked PE on Virgin use the DTD check-in facility. For our holiday next month we have reserved PE seats for the first time. On other trips we have used the DTD check-in, but we have been wondering if it will actually save time this year as we assume that PE travellers have a seperate desk at MCO, and thus less queueing.
Another aspect of this is that our last week will be spent on the west coast so we have to travel across on the Saturday morning. We will have a spare day on our WDW tickets so we intend to set off very early and will most likely go back to a park until mid-afternoon. We think it will actually waste time by going to DTD beforehand, but would be interested to hear other views.
