What do you do on your last day???

Hi everyone

Well I asked on another thread what people do on their first day in Orlando and had a great response on that, so I am now wondering what everyone does on their last day in Orlando?

On our last full day we went to MK. This time I plan to maybe do TL in the morning, then rush to AK for a couple of hours then finish of at MK.

What do you all do on your last day?

(except trying to hide in disney so that you can stay or look at possible jobs you could do in WDW... )

Do the VA DTD then usually wander around DTD, go bac to the hotel and sit around te pool for a couple of hours um..er other than that nothing special tbh.

Check-out of the hotel late and go and get a meal - usually somewhere nice like Flying Fish. Then head off for the airport.

Have never done a park on our last day.

Go to Magic Kingdom, head over to MGM and have lunch in the Brown Derby and then back to MK, some shopping and then drive to the airport.

Up until this years trip we have always had to leave fairly early so didnt really have time to do anything - this year we are flying with Virgin and its a later flight so we intend to do DTD check in and then spend the day at DTD!!!

Try to be first in the queue for DTD check in.

Then DD chooses where to go usually MK, have lunch there, leave around 1pm, and get DD to say goodbye, whilst i take a photo of the see you real soon sign, for the end of our photos.

We are having breakfast at 1900 Park Fare in the morning on the day we leave, we will then pop to Magic Kingdom for any last minute rides/ shopping. We are departing at 16.40 from Sanford so we need to leave Disney at 1ish.

We checked in at DTD last Oct, was only about 15 families in front of us but took an hour for the whole process.
Got to airport passed Virgin desk there was 1 family waiting. Waited in airport with nothing to do for 2 and half hours.
Why check in at DTD? there must be an advatage but I cant see it.
Is it just if you dont prebook seats?

The advantage is you don't need to sit at the airport for 2 1/2 hours - we get there about an hour to an hour and a half before the flight, go through security and once at the gate it's usually only a matter of minutes before they start boarding.

We usually go to TL on our last day, a nice relaxing day and a shower before we leave for the airport. Last year at GF we stayed around the pool all day until about 5pm.

I could not leave it so late been held up too many times on way to airports with Flat tyres, accidents and once on way to Liverpool airport nose to tail traffic for 2 hours, only just made it.
Even so why take an hour out of your morning then 1 1/2 hours in airport its still 2 1/2 hours which ever way you do it.

The first year we went, we did DTD check-in, went to 1900 Park Faire at GF for brekkie, then back to DTD and did some shopping, went to DQ and the cinema.

Last year, we went to Islands of Adventure until about 3 o'clock, then back to the hotel for a quick wash and change before heading to the airport.

Not really sure what we'll do this year but we don't have a car so will probably have to leave for the airport about 3ish - we may well go to Universal or IOA one last time.

I can see I'm out of step with everyone here so far The only thing I want to do on the last day is go home as soon as possible! I can never totally relax until I'm at the airport, no matter what, so although I have done parks, shopping etc, it's all wasted on me on the last day - I just want to be gone.

When we do have a late flight though, I more likely to be found reading by a quiet pool at OKW for a really restful end and then a pleasant meal on the way to the airport (usually Orlando Ale House near Sand Lake/Orange Blossom junction - hardly any tourists ). My next trip is always booked though, so maybe that's why I'm not trying to cram in last precious moments

Normally get up really early try and get the final packing done, buy a new suitcase, try increase the size of the car to get all the luggage in.

Normally if we are flying back in the evening, we head over to Epcot, I get really wound up that the holiday has ended, it will be the first day of the vacation that my boys actually get on and VAl and I will talkk about all the stuff we were going to do in the first few days and still have not done.

Seriously, we walk around Epcot just chillin out, thinking I wish we had one more day and how can I afford to come back.

well I pack on and off for three nights before we leave, so by the last day thats all done and I know just how much space I have left to shop some more lol

we do the express check in, then go over to a park or dtd to do some shopping lol

CRY, No, seriously we usualy go round DTD and have a Mcdonalds (DD's idea, not mine ) then have an ice cream at Ghirardellis and buy some shampoo bars from baisin (they're FAB!)

We usually check in our luggage at DTD, laze around at the villa until 1200 or so, then head for a mall for a couple of hours before driving off to the airport.

To be honest although it's our last day, we are usually tired and just ready for home, we have done everything we came to do and more.
