What do you do in Future World besides rides?

I always feel like a bit of an outsider in Future World for some reason, as if everyone else knows what's going on. Have discovered the aquarium, big pin kiosk, Starbucks, fountains, flowers, Sum of All Thrills (years ago), Sunshine Seasons food court. Are there other fun things to do and see? Anything for adults in the Innoventions buildings? Extra-special snacks in FW? Other activities? Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Have you checked out Club Cool? It's fun to sample the flavors.

Personally, I don't see much to do in Future World. We don't spend much time there.

Everybody with the Beverly *rolls eyes*. It's tonic water. I don't see the big deal. You add some gin and a lime wedge and we've got a party. Yet everyone acts like it's this mean trick to play on others. "Ooh I got you good. You drank something mildly bitter." /rant

But yeah, Club Cool is fun. Check it out.

The games that you play together in Innoventions can be fun if you have a group that has fun doing things together. There are also games to play at the end of Spaceship Earth. The Art of Disney shop there is a good one with more art than some of the others.

Ya know, even though I'll sometimes enjoy tonic water by itself (not into gin), and even though I've always enjoyed Beverly, I've never made the connection until now. I always just classified it as being a bitter grapefruit drink. So TIL.

You mentioned fountains, which reminds me that the grandkids always enjoy trying to catch the "jumping water" in the fountains outside the Imagination Pavilion (and getting themselves soaked in the process).

Also, there is a play area in the Mission Space building which you can reach either after exiting the ride or by entering the building exit through the gift shop. It's pretty much like a McDonalds/Burger King play area, but the grandsons, ages 6-10, spent a surprisingly long amount of time in there, scampering about and working off a lot of energy.

You sure? I'm having a vodka & tonic and it's really sweet, no bitterness at all. Beverly had a sort of medicine-y taste to me. However, I'll be happy to smuggle an airplane bottle of gin to check it out. Don't know if I can manage the lime wedge. ;)

With respect of what to do in FW, if you like Disney stuff, Mouse Gear has an outstanding selection of merch, and there's an art shop with some cool stuff too.:earsboy:

We also like the "jumping" fountains near Figment. Also, the Jammitors (assuming they are still there) show, watching the fish in the Seas, and looking around Mouse Gears. The kids used to love the splash fountains near Test Track and near the entrance to WS, but I don't know if they are still there either.

Some of our favorites are Club Cool, watching the Jammitors, hanging out in the Living Seas, and playing the games after exiting the Spaceship Earth ride.

One show that I remember being worthwhile, but is no longer there AFAIK, was a gymnastics dance by two or three performers wearing silver skintight costumes from head to toe, with no skin showing. But do look for the street performers in all of Epcot, not just FutureWorld.

If you find the Living with the Land ride interesting, you might enjoy the Behind the Seeds tour. As ticketed tours go, it's cheap ($20/adult), but short, just an hour. It's walking through the same areas as the boat, with a tour guide. If nothing else, it at least gives you the feeling of having done one of the luxury "special tours", without breaking the bank.

I think it's pretty similar to tonic water. Maybe not the same but I'll split the bottle of gin with you and we can find out.

Thanks for all of your responses! Definitely some things I did not know about here, like the art store. I think they should put in an IMAX theater that shows the latest science movies made for that format. And there is so much inspiration they could draw from the world's best science museums to make the park experience richer. The reliance on corporate sponsorship hampers creativity. I wish Disney had more guts and vision.

But back to the original topic, any delectable snacks in FW?
