I know about After Hours Care, but that's only open at 5 pm. Can anyone suggest a pediatrician around WDW? Last trip, my DD spent 5 hours at a clinic for swimmer's ear!

This was years ago but when my daughter was young she developed an ear infection once we got to Disney. We were staying at the Polynesian at the time. We were told there was a "House Dr." who would come to our room. What a waste of time. He came to the room, looked in her ear, told us she probably had an infection (her ear was oozing pus by the time he got there) so he told us to take her to the ER at a nearby hospital. I would never waste my time again.

I always search for in-network providers with our insurance before we leave home. We haven't needed them yet thank goodness. But I don't know of any doctors there to recommend, but I would suggest checking with your insurance company to see if they have providers in the area so you can at least rest assured you know where to go that is in network if you need to.

Centra Care is nearby and they have a free shuttle. They are very nice and have a pharmacy attached to it. We have had to use them more than once (darn Disney superbugs!:headache: ).

We used Centra Care also. They were very good. We had a rental car, but I was told that they have a van that will pick you up if you need transportation. A CM at the front desk at OKW gave me the Centra Care brochure when DS was sick, so I'm sure all of the resorts have that info if you need it.

We went to CentraCare during our last trip. My little girl just turned one during our trip and had an very high fever and was vomiting. She wasn't tugging on her ears or not eating, but it turned out she had a double ear infection. We went to CentraCare first thing in the morning and waited about 45 minutes to see a doctor. We then went to Walgreens across the street to fill the prescription. Both places took our insurance and the whole process took under 2 hours. We were told a doctor could come to our room, but it wouldn't be covered under our insurance.

Thanks for the info. I already printed out the address and phone number for my files!
