What do you do for your lunch break?

Lately I haven't been able to take a lunch. I've been eating in the classroom with a couple of students who are unable to eat in the cafeteria. I'm able to eat, but it's interrupted and quick.

I'm hoping things will change soon so I can take a walk around the school now that it's nice outside. I get 30 minutes, technically, so I could eat for twenty and then walk for 10.

I only get 20 minutes, so I try to snarf down my lunch really fast.

You have time to go for a walk during your lunch break? What kind of hospital/department do you work in? Is it a magnet hospital? I wanna work there!

I worked on several units that made it so difficult to even actually *eat* my lunch much less do other stuff. I went to another department, and I would get time to actually eat but not really enough time to *enjoy* it.

I'll fight you for that job, missy!

I also find it hard to actually take a break and get my work done at my hospital. Today I snarfed down my Lean Cuisine in about 5 minutes and had heartburn the rest of my shift.

OK- another nurse chiming in. I would love to have time to actually sit, and eat.

I usually run into the medroom, scarf something down as fast as possible. That is, if I have time to warm something up. I have had the same hot pocket in the freezer at work since Monday- Haven't had time to eat it yet.

Good luck on your exercising. You are very lucky to have the time.

I pick up my daughter from school and take her home. Barely have time for 15 min. of "how was your day" before time to go back. Makes me sad.
