What do you do for a Living?

I am a settlement clerk for a title insurance company. I do real estate closings. I hate what I do, but I work for the best person in the world. I have been here 15 years:D

DH is a manager for Staples

I work full time in a travel agency. I have been there for 13 years now. (Where did the time go? ;)) I'm also a mom to a wonderful and smart 2 year old. (Well, he'll be 2 on April 16th...)

Not the best time to be in the travel business. :(

I do phone/data/internet line designs for a telecommunications company :)

I'm going to pinch a line here from Cam Colt......

In my previous life I was an Admin assistant, but now I am a SAHM & have been for the last 15yrs.

For the past 24 years I have been reading water meters for the township that I reside in. I do really like my job, I get to meet very interesting people. I was just talking to a lady today, who's friend just got off the WONDER Sunday morning. She was waiting to hear from her to see how her cruise went.

BTW, I plan on retiring in 7 years at the ripe old age of 55 with full pension, then DW and I want to travel and spend the winters in Florida, away from any SNOW!!!

I am a web designer/developer/marketer. Basically I build websites and sell stuff. It is a great job becuase every day I can do something different. I have dozens of different sites so there is plenty of variety and always plenty to do.

I am a floral shop manager at our local Dillons store. The garden center opened today and I always make sure that I'm the one that schedules myself to work out there. I love it. I really like to play in the dirt. We get our bedding plants from a nursery just 50 miles away and they always have wonderful plants.

Otimon! YOU WORK FOR CHUCK E. CHEESE?!?!?!??!?!?!?
;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I was a SAHM until about a week ago! I volunteered in my dd's school library. Well, the para-pro librarian went out on maternity leave about 1 1/2 months early. Guess who they called? So, I'm now a long-term sub. It's really tough getting into the swing of working for 30 hrs and then taking care of all the 'other' stuff. Hats off to all of you who have been doing it for years. Man, it's tough. You just shouldn't be learning new tricks at 53!!!

Formerly a second grade teacher; currently, an elementary school principal.

I work for a Christian radio station in the Donor Relations department. Through my last job I learned this system and actually helped set up the donor system for my current job. Now I help process pledges, donations, etc. But my main responsibilities are in-house support for the software system, set-up and maintenance, reports, etc. There is so much variety in what I do. I LOVE my job. It is lots and lots of fun. Since our team is small we all help each other out and do what we can for one another. I just don't know a thing about all of the on-air stuff. I'll stick to the donor system!

I am in lower level management at a local insurance company.

DH is a Captain (hopefully soon to be Major) in the USAF, he does work for them as a civil engineer.

I am the office manager for the Housing Authority in OC and DH is a supervisor in a casino cage (he's duel rate meaning that he's the shift supervisor on the shift supervisor's days off). In the summer we also take care of a friends rental units. I clean the 2 apts and DH cuts the grass.

In the summer one DS works for the local amusement park and another works on the boardwalk as a morning cook at a small restaurant/bike rental shop.

I am employed by the Illinois Department of Human Services as a Human Services Caseworker. I manage a caseload of approximately 75 families. These families have all received public assistance longer than three years and are considered to be intensive. They require more specialized coaching and guidance.

Today I'm a Manager of Corporate purchasing, travel and fleet -
tomorrow, I am unemployed due to synergies and a disapproval of moving to North Carolina.

I am also a volunteer at my son's school and a Mommy! These are my best jobs, ever....;)

I have taught 5th grade and also been a Regional Director for 3 Sylvan Learning Centers. I then handled accounting for a small software company that sold Center Management software to Sylvan Learning Centers. (Over 800 centers through US, Canada and UK use the software. My SO designed that software :)

I currently own a company called MicroDebit and work with 40+ Sylvan Learning Centers. I draft clients checking accounts for the Sylvan Tuition. Once I get my busines cards in, I will talk to apartments, dance studios, ect. for any business that receives regular payments.

As of this past November, I am a HR Recruiter. I spend most of my days interviewing potential job candidates, and also spend a little bit of time going to college job fairs. Its interesting work, and not like anything I've done before. Prior to that, for the past 15 years, I worked as a creative consultant in advertising.

I also own and run an art studio, where I paint landscapes and portraits. I like owning my own business, but lately, I haven't had as much time to devote to it as I would like.

My husband is a Secret Service agent who's main job is to protect the White House. He is on the Sniper Patrol team, so if you see a guy on the roof of the White House when you come to visit Washington, it might be my DH. :)

I am an audiologist. I guess I'm the only one of those on these boards. I work for an ENT doctor. I do hearing tests, fit hearing aids, and do other diagnostic testing. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't. I do have a really good job at a really laid back office that is only about 5 minutes from my house.
