What Do You Do First?

Epcot or MK, depending on with whom I'm traveling. And always, the first night, Hoop-Dee-Doo! Can't beat it for a great way to kick things off!

Last May was our first trip, we are going again in Feb. and I scheduled things the exact same way. We are taking a noon flight, hopefully the kids will nap the whole way again. We'll get the car and get checked in. Then head over to the Contemporary, ride the monorail loop to see the resorts and the castle, Chef Mickey's at 8:20 followed by the fireworks. I was trying to see if we could get in the Electrical Water Parade too this trip, we'll see. Then Sunday we go to AK for a leisurely day and a early closing so we can get to bed early and get up for our 8:00 ADR at CP and walk down Main Street all alone before the park opens. The only change this year is we may go over to EPCOT after AK to see Illuminations because I don't think we will get it in later in the trip. We are sending Grandma and Granddaddy to V&As the evening of our EPCOT day and I don't want them to miss Illuminations.

Depends on the weather when we get there. My wife and I usually go when its cold in VA, so if its nice when we get there, we usually head straight to Typhoon Lagoon for some fun in the sun.

First on the list for us is Animal Kingdom. The animals are awake and active in the morning. After 11:00am the animals start to find grazing spots and they are less active. Then it's like this:

1. Animal Kingdom
2. MGM
3. Magic Kingdom
4. Epcot

Since Epcot is open the latest we park there and then take the Disney transportation to other parks.

When I go next year I am planning to go to Magic Kingdom First, and stay in there late with EMH in the evening. :-))).

No matter what time we arrive or where we are staying, we always visit the MK first. I love to see the castle before me. Pure magic. We make a point to visit all 4 parks during our stays but we always start and end with the MK.

MK is also first on our list, last may DW and I did not even unpack the car, we drove straight to MK, we ended up checking in at POFQ at 12AM ;)

Usually MK, but it depends on how busy it is expected to be.

Since my kids have never been, we are going to go to MK and then to Chef Mickey's for dinner.

Magic Kingdom is first. I have to walk under the train station and see the castle :goodvibes Then I head straight to Splash Mountain to take the first big plunge of the day :earseek:

We usually go the Magic Kingdom first, then hop over to Epcot. But on our next trip, we're going to Epcot first. It's our favorite park and our trip is shorter than usual so we want to enjoy Epcot as much as possible. :sunny:

It really depends on what we are doing that trip. Since we are only 2 1/2 hours south we don't have that long of trip and we have Florida Resident Season Passes so it doesn't matter how many days I use. Since we go so often and sometimes for only 2 days I sometimes skip a park - last two times I skipped a park it was MK. So when we went in Sept we went to MK first and it turns out this trip we are hitting MK first. It only turned out that way due to me wanting to see Wishes and the the other nights we were/are going to be there the park closes early (in Sept due to Night of Joy and in Dec MVMCP - which we aren't going to)

Since our drive is a short one I always plan to get to the resort mid morning and if possible check in (if not store the luggage in Bell Services) and head on over to a park. When we went in Sept I made the mistake of making an ADR at Concourse Steakhouse the first night and we felt like we were too rushed. So this time I may make the ADR but not anything for the first night.

As soon as we get to Disney orld we always hit Downtown Disney and the first park we go to the next day is ALWAYS Magic Kingdom!

It depends on what time we get there....

Really late - hang out at hotel, maybe even order in pizza ($$$, lol) if it was a rough trip.

Not late, but late enough to not want to use a ticket-day - DTD

Anything early enough for us to spend some time at a park or the first day after the other two options - Magic Kingdom. It's that walk under the RR, onto Main Street, and then looking up MS to see the castle. Just too magical and Disney-ish not to start with. :)

I prefer to go to Magic Kingdom first. However, sometimes I don't arrive at WDW until the middle of the day. If there are just a few hours left to tour a park, I often go to Animal Kingdom first because there's not as much to do there.

We usually hit EPCOT first. If we get there late in the day we might hit DTD first but simce we have ap it really just depends. There have been times when we got there at 8 pm and just popped over to MK to ride pirates and hm and go back to the resort for dinner :)
