What do you do first.

Our first trip and obviously on the drive. Possibly catch an hour in the hotel pool to refresh the kids a little ensuring they dont start dropping off, then off to a Mcd's or Dennys (v close to hotel) for a quick easy meal, return via 7-11 for a couple of buds and some food for for dinner the day after. Then back to the hotel about 7pm to settle them in and we can catch a bit of tv to stay awake.
Best laid plans !! :D
I want to take it easy the first night to try and ease them into it, rather not race off anywhere in an unfamiliar area when tired.

This will be our first flight from Manchester so we'll hit Orlando earlier than usual. Normally it's way after 6 when we check into the hotel but this year it will be nearer to 4. Normally we'd just hit DD but, to be honest, MK is looking very tempting this year. Just a couple of hours to soak up the atmosphere and catch the parade, then home to bed by 11 for an early start.

First is unpack, however, we have done a few different things. One of our trips, we arrived around 5 and had a PS in Epcot at 6:30 at Marrakesh. This restaurant is away from the bustle of the parks and very quiet. We had a nice dinner and watched Illuminations before going to the hotel to rest. The last trip, we arrived around 10:30am and had PS at Crystal Palace for lunch. Other times we have gone to the parks and worn ourselves out on the first night! You don't want to do that!! Epcot is much quieter and more peaceful, so I would suggest if you go to a park, go here and eat a nice dinner before getting a good night's sleep. It helps make your trip seem relaxed to start out relaxed.
