Hi Jclark31, looks like you know what you are doing, we also did the land and sea but rented a car and left it at the port (we figured the $40 in port fees was worth not having to take our land luggage on board with us and for the convenience of walking right off and into our car) which was WAY cheaper than transfers, even with the port charges it was about half. But we wanted to have more flexibility with little ones to eat off Disney property and leave the parks when we wanted, without having to wait for shuttles to our hotel room. Just wanted to point that advantage out to you, which may or may not matter to you. Have fun!!jclark3 said:It complicates things because we're doing a land/sea vacation. I really don't want to be bothered with a car at all on this vacation. We usually drive from Atlanta, but this time I decided to fly and give myself a vacation from driving (those of you who live in cities and commute, know what I mean!) With the cost of gas, plus the cost of two nights in a hotel in Valdosta (midway), driving is just about as expensive as flying!
Also, the cost of transfers is actually quite reasonable-$69 per person-when you consider Disney must get us from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the port, and then back to the airport again.
But thanks anyway to all of you who've responded. You have some good ideas.![]()
We went to downtown disney on the last day since we didn't get there before. We used that day to buy our souvenirs.
