What do you carry all your “Stuff” in when you’re at the parks?

Ideally I’l like to carry NOTHING, but as I’m putting my list together, it’s not looking possible. Looks like I’ll need:
- park pass (although I have a magic band from 2019, but I’m the only one in my group who does, I’m not sure that matters)
- room key (staying at SoG, so if I do use my band the room key won’t link)
- credit card (all 3 in a small wallet)
- cell phone
- battery charger & cable
- sunglasses & reading glasses
- rain ponchos (going first week of Dec, rain always a possibility)
- small bottle of OTC meds

Trying to decide if it would be better to have a small backpack, a drawstring backpack or a medium size crossbody bag.

Traveling with 3 kidults (over age 18) so they will be carrying their own stuff.

What do you use?

i have always used a backpack in the parks
the daypack size
i'll see if i can find a link to the one i prefer

here it is....super lightweight and extremely cheap..
we're not talking durable or anything..
just good for a day in the parks (although i've had them for years, so they actually do last!!)
i like this particular one because it has a bunch of pockets so i can separate stuff out..
i have a bunch of these in different colors since everyone in the family always wants to borrow them for the parks...

If I bring in a lunch I use a medium crossbody bag, if no lunch I use a fanny pack. I always carry:
phone
ID/credit card/money
battery/cords
wet wipes
hand sanitizer
little container with ibuprofen and allergy meds

Sometimes I also have:
umbrella
disposable poncho

I like to be prepared so schlep a full-sized backpack around the parks. When we travel in the summer it's hot but for our Jan trip it will be good to store layers of clothes.

I like the organization it offers but understand it's too big for most people. If you can go smaller I'd highly recommend it.

My biggest tip is to consider the comfort of the straps. I like a wider, padded strap to distribute the weight and not dig into my shoulders.

We no longer carry any bags if we can help it.
When at WDW I wear contacts, so no need to carry my sunglasses case, we use magic bands and I keep my wallet / phone case in my pocket.
If need be I can pop a small bottle of hand sanitizer, chap stick and a disposable poncho in another pocket.
My husband will carry his phone in a pocket, his wallet and if it's going to be raining, he will shove a disposable poncho in his pocket
And that is all we have on us usually.

I usually carry an Osprey Daylite backpack or one of my Disney Parks backpacks or my old REI day pack because I always carry a ton of random stuff. It's like I'm preparing for battle:

Refillable water bottle
Poncho
Light sweatshirt maybe
Wallet
Sunglasses
Car keys
Cell phone
Charger
Comb
Hand sanitizer
Wipes
Tissues
Mint tin first aid kit
Feminine products
Hand lotion
Advil
Lip balm
Pens

I purchased a small cross-body water bottle holder from Corksicle for this trip. It worked really well - there's a pocket for a large water bottle and then a zipper pouch that fit my phone, battery, credit cards, extra masks and (with a little cramming) my sunglasses.

Honestly I've tried many things over the years.

My 2 "go to'" options as of late are a crossbody or a fabric running belt.

The crossbody is great because on most attractions you can leave it on and everything is easy access without having to remove it to get into it.
Downside for me with the crossbody is sometimes the strap moves towards my neck or it just starts feeling heavy on my shoulder even though its really not heavy. The other downside is no longer a problem because that was bag check but security is a breeze now.

The fabric running belt is great because you are totally hands free, don't have to remove it on any attraction, and it stretches to fit your items.
The downside is that it can look funny under clothing, it can get hot and sweaty, and I my chap stick was so hot and melty I never even got to use it.

I used to take a small backpack but it was a real pain to take on and off every time I wanted something or got on and off a ride.

I also used to take a lot more stuff but I've been enough that I now know what I truly need and its not really that much.
Small wallet, phone, disposable ponchos, travel hair brush, travel pill container, travel perfume bottle, and chap stick.
I also bring an extra mask in case.
I use a water bottle clip and hang it on the crossbody or on my belt loop if I'm wearing pants that have it.
I put sunscreen on before leaving the hotel.
I wear glasses so I don't bring sunglasses but I do wear a hat to help with the sun.
If I need a jacket I'll wear it and then tie it around my waist.

When bag check was a hassle, I tried no bags. It was fine but I hate carrying my phone in my pocket.

Now that bag check is a metal detector, I carry a backpack if the day calls for rain. A fanny pack if I just need my phone, fuel rod, sunglasses, reading glasses and lip balm.

I love that the security guards do not need to inspect every bag. Whenever I carry my husband's glasses, I get flagged by the metal detector.

If you're going in early December, I strongly recommend that each person carry a sweater/sweatshirt. Temps in the late afternoon and evening can be quite chilly, and weather in general can change in a hurry and make you wish you had warmer clothes. It gets expensive to buy them in the parks because you're too cold.

drawstring backpack, unless changing resorts and then the drawstring goes inside a larger one for the day. December, definitely am going to carry a sweatshirt.

I try to go bagless, I've found a number of skorts that have pretty good sized pockets in the front and one decent one in the back. I have a little wallet on my phone that will hold 3 cards, usually my ID, CC and/or room key if I'm staying at Dolphin. If I have more cards - like my AP - I carry a little flip wallet in a pocket. My phone fits in a pocket (they have zippers). My fuel rod in the pocket with the wallet. My reading glasses on a necklace around my neck and I switch those out with my sunglasses when I go inside. A cap on my head. If it's just a usual day, maybe rain - maybe not - I'll fold up a disposable poncho and put it in a ziplock and get as much air out and put it in my back pocket. If it looks like it might really rain, I have an umbrella that is in a cover and the cover has a wrist strap. I just get free water in the parks or carry a plastic water bottle in my hands and refill it. If it is going to really rain, I use a fanny pack to put a decent rain jacket in.

In the winter, I tend to wear a pretty thick pashmina that I can wrap around my shoulders or head or if it warms up, around my waist. If it's really cold, I just wear my jacket and if it warms up wrap it around my waist. I also have an infinity scarf that has a pocket that I can wear in the winter that will hold my phone, wallet and charger, most of my leggings are runner's leggings so they have pockets as well for my phone. Oh, I also have a tiny little pill round pill box that will hold about 6 advil or aleve that sometimes I stick in my pocket.

Can you link your favorite skorts?

I don't think they make them any more. They are Megellan and I got them at Academy Sports. I did find the following: They were called Fishing Skorts because they are made of tech material.
