What do you bring with you?

We are brand new BCV owners and will make our first trip home in April. I was able to find what items come with the rooms. But, what else do you bring?

We are not coffee, nor tea drinkers so I do have to worry about the extras with that. I will have a shopping list of the food items I want, so I am really talking about the extras. For example, do you bring your own paper towels or napkins or are the supplied? What about dish soap?

I figure I'll just start the list now - gives me something to do while I await our next trip!::yes::

You might want to post the size of room you will be in as the answers may vary depending on whether it's a Studio or 1B/2B.

The last time we stayed in a 1B, about the only things we brought specifically for the room were laundry detergent and dryer sheets.

Oh, and bubble bath, too!!! ;)

We do not bring these as they are provided in the villas. We do bring our own laundry detergent & fabric softener because there is not enough supplied for us.

I have yet to find paper napkins in studios or 1 BR, are they? We either use the paper towels, folded up, or bring our own paper napkins.

Except for food and your luggage everything is pretty much there! However there are no napkins, but there are paper towels. Dish soap and dishwasher soap are also in supply. The only thing that I might bring next time is an extra hand soap for the kitchen. They only seem to supply enough for the bathroom area and I like soap in the kitchen too.

Hiya neighbor! So it looks like you're gonna get a chance to use those points, eh? And for April vacation too! I am guessing a 2BR? Well done! Did you book your airfare yet, or are you waiting for SWA out of Providence?

We'll be accross the lake at BWV then, having bought laundry detergent and fabric softener, plus coffee (something we must have :hyper: ), and paper napkins. I expect you can wait until at least 3 weeks ahead to buy these things tho ;) , so maybe next March :teeth:; or if you want to be really last minute, buy them on the way from the airport.

Enjoy!

pumpkinboy, my eyes will be glued to the SWA website come December. We are going a one bedroom and I can't wait.

Anybody else have anything they bring??

Have a wonderful night.:wave2:

Heheh. I've done the "paper towel napkin" thing, too.
It doesn't bother me to substitute.

I agree about the laundry supplies, but only if I'm in a 1BR or higher. I don't bother with the laundry if I'm in a studio, but since the washer/dryer combo is in the larger units, it's not inconvenient to do laundry in-room.

Momoftwins, watch for us while you're there. If you see a redheaded 7 yr old boy in a wheelchair, with his 5 yr old redheaded sister and redheaded Daddy (your's truly), and non-redhead Mom, that'll be us.:)
(bet you don't wonder why I post in orange anymore, do ya)

We are going to be bringing the bare minimums this time. Any food our shopping will be done at Walmart or Sam's Club. Seeing how if we bought pop in Michigan there would be a $.10 charge per can and we would be forced to leave them down there, we decided it would be better (and cheaper) to buy pop down in Florida.

Buying bulk will help us out for the week long trip.

My theory after driving 20+ hours in a KIA Spectra, is the less luggage the better!

Just bring your luggage. When you arrive go over to one of the major grocery stores. The prices will be equivalent to what you pay at home.

Publix and Winn-Dixie are two that come to mine.

Look for the laundry tablets. May cost more, but are more convenient.

We like to stay in the 1 bedroom (big istake, now think a studio is roughing it, LOL:tongue: )

I like to use powder cheer at home. I use the ziploc snack bags and measure out a load of laundry's worth into each one. Easy to transport and one less thing to buy.

Have fun planning!
