What do you bring for 7 days, but not 3?

Help me pack! It's been a long time since I've been away for 7+ days. What do you pack for a week that you don't pack for a long weekend. All I can think of is nail clippers (although I was annoyed I didn't pack them last weekend on a short hotel stay).

qtips, first aid supplies (I guess I should always bring those, but I don't), and extra dress shoes, and yes, another bathing suit so I can alternate.

A second pair of sneakers or something else casual to walk around in if the first pair get wet and need time to dry.

Agree with laundry and multiple suits. Maybe a laundry bag to store dirty clothes in for 7 days.

On a cruise ship might bring a fancy outfit or two that I might skip on the weekend sailings.

Razor blades etc that one may not need for a weekend.

Laundry bag is a good one! I don't intend to do any washing on the ship

So the last time I bought laundry bags for vacation, I wasn’t paying attention to the sizes and accidentally bought huge ones. Like I could get inside. Well they worked out fabulously. Dirty clothes go right into the bags then we shove them into empty suitcases at the end of the trip. Because there’s so much more room in the big bags to smush the clothes around, they work much easier than small travel size bags. We just adjust the clothes until the whole bag fits into the suitcase.

Kind of a variation on laundry bags/laundry stuff - we’re bringing a pop-up laundry hamper. The kind that folds up flat and can fit easily in a suitcase. We’ll put it in the closet for all our dirty laundry, and we plan to do laundry on the ship at some point (7 day cruise, but overall 12 day trip and we travel carry-on only - we’ll need to wash and rewear everything!)

An extra pair of sunglasses in case I manage to break/lose them. I usually use promo giveaways or dollar store ones, so buying some at a port is not how I want to spend my vacation dollars.

More cash and clothes too, of course.

Ooh I also thought of a deck of cards or other game. There's never enough time on a 3 night but we can find the time on a 7 nighter.

It gives me life imagining your suitcase full of fudge, sprinkles, marshmallow fluff, and maraschino cherries 😆
Hahaha! More like a pack of mini m&ms, which my kids can also nibble if we watch a movie or something.

That would be a fun suitcase though - I’d love rolling it onto the pool deck, throwing it on a table and having a topping buffet for my whole family with all the sundae fixings LOL!

+1 a few snacks, especially salty snacks. I like to have a bag of cheddar chex mix or some pringles or something -- usually to munch on after we get back at the end of the night.

I also bring more cold medicine type stuff (cough drops, mucinex, etc) because let's be honest, by the end of a 7 night there's a non-zero chance you've picked something up.
