What do we think about airlines and masks?

Not to start another mask debate, but I see the airline mask requirements are in place at least through September. Any chance that’s lifted sooner? I have a 2 year old who won’t keep a mask on and I’m preparing for a drive to Disney for an august trip if airlines still have mask restrictions.

ETA: I realize at Disney there are still mask requirements for indoors and rides and if those are also still in place we’ll be cancelling altogether.

Yeah, unfortunately if you are unsuccessful getting that mask to stay on, you'll have little success getting where you need to both at the airport and WDW. I hope they go the way of personal choice soon... But that could be asking too much. I think we'll need to see vaccinations approved for all ages and available for at least 2 months before we get there.

We will be traveling with a 2 yo in October and I sure do hope the masks are gone by then too. We will only fly.

I have not checked, but I think masks are still required in most government buildings as well (Federal and State/Local). These will be slow to return to normal.

I can see them allowing younger children to go without at some point, but no idea when that might happen. I can see them sticking around for adults for a while, at least those that don't get the vaccine.

That’s all I would really want is for kids to be able to go without. I really wouldn’t mind wearing one on the plane myself.
